What did we all think? I was a bit ??? when she was captured again!!

I've just watched the latest episode.

Great testimony from June but there was so much more she could've said.

Emily/Aunt Irene storyline shows that the victims are spread far and wide here. Look at Nazi German soldiers doing what they did. It's makes you wonder what you would do if you were put into a situation like the Aunts.

And then the chanting supporters at the end. Crazy! But it mirrors real life.

Brilliant episode!

Scottishskifun · 02/06/2021 19:20

Yes latest episode is brilliant. June is really starting to scare me though! Hell bent regardless of the cost!

I do wonder what will happen to poor Janine though!

BG2015 · 02/06/2021 22:30

I wonder whether Janine will decide she's had enough and go out in 'a blaze of glory' paying homage to June! But then she's quite a central character so who knows?

June is totally unhinged isn't she.

It was a hearing not a trial which will go into greater depth of the crimes commited by fred and Serena. She needed to be factual and consistent in her statement. I think she convenyed what she needed to that hers was one story but there are many unheard and never will be silenced forever.

FortunesFave · 03/06/2021 12:07

Well that was the most disappointing episode of the entire thing.

Footloosefancyfree · 03/06/2021 13:10

FortunesFave seriously it was a hearing not a trial theses things are a lengthy process.

No, not the hearing...just the whole episode. It was boring! I've never said that once about this series. It seemed all over the place. There's none of the drama of earlier seasons. The filming isn't as grand...there's no beautiful imagery.
AnotherEmma · 03/06/2021 22:10

I agree about the scenery, imagery etc.
It wasn't boring though. Far from it.

FortunesFave · 03/06/2021 22:51

It was just all over the shop. Why go through that part about that Aunt maybe giving evidence only to have her hang herself? What was the point of that? And to be honest....June's weird blinky acting is getting on my nerves a bit. What IS that thing she does with her eyes?

The bit about the support group is quite interesting but the scene in the hearing where Fred speaks out of turn...and is told to stop...that came over as badly acted.

Freddiefox · 05/06/2021 18:21

I felt so sorry for Moria and Emily. June completely bulldozed Emily and took all of Emily’s independence away.
I’m not sure I like the way they are portraying June at the moment, and I wonder if they will her as the aggressors in the next season.

I think, jeanine will end up an Aunt, and it will make you question Aunt Lydia and what ‘choices’ she had.

Popping on and trying not to read spoilers...
Does anyone know why SBS hasn't worked for me last night or tonight please? I was really looking forward to catching E7 and E8 but it's so slow with 15 minute gaps for 20 seconds of video even with good connection and the lowest quality picture setting.

I'm in Oz and it's sometimes like that for me here....I think it's just the site. It's not that reliable. I sometimes can watch uninterrupted but other times it's as you describe. So annoying!
Oversize · 06/06/2021 08:37

Thanks Fortunes. Weirdly, it worked fine on my phone in the end.

paniniswapx3 · 06/06/2021 23:45

I enjoyed the episode - June is very scary now and really felt for Moira with how she has pushed her out of her own group. Moira is a survivor too albeit she's been in Canada for longer but it's easy to forget just how much she went through in Gilead and also with her escape.

Yes but Moira annoyed me with her insensitivity. Acting the way she has been with the baby and Luke...forgetting that June will feel superfluous.
paniniswapx3 · 07/06/2021 00:00

I didn't see Moira that way @FortunesFave - I saw it more that she was supporting and getting on with things whilst June finds her way back.

Yes but in a quite insensitive way I thought. The whole easy-routine she has with Luke and the baby....if I were her I'd definitely have pulled back a lot when June arrived. I also find her a bit insipid which she never used to be!
Mol1628 · 08/06/2021 10:05

I agree about Moira I don’t like her character now at all.
I’m not enjoying this season so far. It’s a little over the top with the dramatics but not much actually going on which is a shame. Lots of close ups of June’s face, gets a bit much.

Yes! She does this weird sort of flickery eye acting. It is all a bit much.

I can't think why the writers made Moira so insipid...she used to be so angry and passionate. Now she's boring. She was my fave too.

Mol1628 · 09/06/2021 14:27

It’s also a bit June vs Moira now which is a shame they were a great duo before.

They've shoved her on the back burner. SPOILER ALERT

Anyone who's watched today's episode, was it weird the way Moria said "Why's all this out?" when she saw the paperwork on the floor?

SapatSea · 09/06/2021 17:05

Yes, I thought it was strange - why wouldn't Luke want to show the stuff he's found out about hannah?

SapatSea · 09/06/2021 17:08

It's seems super easy for US government agents in Canada to set up calls and meetings with commanders in Gilead - I just found that strange.

BG2015 · 09/06/2021 18:47

I definitely think she loves Nick more than Luke!

OP posts:
Shinypie · 09/06/2021 19:22

The way they set up that meeting with Nick, I thought something awful was going to happen!

The troll part of me would have had Luke arrange with Nick for Nicole to be swapped out for Hannah. Roll credits. Season finale. 😈
