Just watched episode 5!

I love this watching a crappy version on YouTube until it comes out over here. I got goosebumps when Aunt Lydia said testaments.

I haven't seen any of series 4 yet; but I hope they ignore "The Testaments"- it is truly awful

It seems like way too much of a coincidence that Moira just happens to be with the NGO at the very same spot where June happened to be.
I mean, I love it, but it’s a stretch 😂

Mmmm I thought the same but it's a TV programme after all. Will June go with Moria? Or will she choose to stay behind? I'll be a bit if she stays in Chicago, I mean why would you choose to stay there? I know Hannah is there but she can't bring Hannah out until Gilead is destroyed.

I really don't know where the storyline will go next.

What are the chances?? Agree with everyone - it's a big stretch. Feeds into the "no handmaiden ever walks alone" theme of the episode. Surely it would be too risky for Moira to go back in as an NGO worker as she would still be wanted for murder in Gilead.

What's happened to lovely Janine? Is she dead? Getting a bit fed up with June's gurning/angry face. Has the series "jumped the shark?"

Aunt Lydia looks younger/different this series - her hair (laughed when Commander Lawrence asked if she'd done something with it) looks darker, has the actress lost weight? Had a "tweakment"? I don't think hair dye wouldn't be available in Gilead.

Janine won't be dead I'm sure of it. I'm really torn about this series because although it's just as watchable, it lacks the epic nature of the previous seasons. They felt really filmic...the music in episode 4 was great, when the girls were running and they played Radiohead over it....Elizabeth Moss herself directed that episode...but episode 5...they played that awful, slushy cover of "Fix You" it was like another show!

However....I am loving the thing in general. I've seen a clip from episode 6 on YouTube What I saw was that June is with Moira and moira is arguing with her in the bombed out street and saying she has to stay with her and can't go back....and June is looking for Janine everywhere in the rubble.

I think we're going to see June meet her husband again and I reckon she will re-enter Gillead undercover...someone will sneak her in and she will try to get her baby back.

Her husband might even go with her. There'll be a massive showdown culminating in June head to head against Lydia.

I LOVED this episode. I screamed when Moira turned up (massive stretch I know), I thought it was going to be Nick. I don’t know whether June will go with her but I hope she does. But I don’t think she will which I do think will be a bit stupid.

Really hope Janine is ok, I have such a soft spot for her. Lawrence is a snake and I just can’t get a read of him at all. I’m not sure what he wants. Loved brooding Nick as always.

Ok just watched the trailer, i totally get her not wanting to leave without Hannah but I’ll be gutted if she stays, just feel like it’s a bit been there done that

It is a bit of a stretch keeping June alive. If every handmaiden is needed why push two off the roof? Do you think June is ready to leave Gilead now that Hannah doesn't recognise her, or will she fight harder after meeting the child who was married off to the elderly commander and raped repeatedly?

Are we to assume that Nick was able to arrange the pit stop for public enemy number 1, June ,for their snog with other "eyes" watching on because he is a Commander now? It just seemed a bit ridiculous to me.

Janine, breaks my heart. The rebel leader is foul. Janine has always been resilient - IIRC she was gang raped (resulting in Caleb's birth), Aunt Lydia tried to shame her at the Red Centre about it. I was also never sure she really believed June that Caleb was living near a beach in California, it was just nice to have the fantasy to keep the dark at bay.

Rita is so serene. I'd be so angry with them. Since Fred now knows he's fertile, could he make a play for Nicole somehow/paternity test, even though he's in detention? It would be poetic justice if Fred and Serena's baby was taken when they are both hopefully imprisoned.

The girls pushed off the roof were infertile marthas.

I think June WILL go with Moira....but she'll return to Gilead quite soon after to get her baby. She might go with her husband. There'll be a big showdown with Lydia at the end.

@FortunesFave I don’t know what it is, he’s not my usual type at all and when I see pictures of him in real life he does absolutely nothing for me but he makes my heart race in this 😂

I'm not really a fan of Nick.

Not sure about this most recent episode - I will continue to watch but it's nowhere near the calibre of earlier seasons. I hope it gets good again!

I’ve just finished it. Bawled my eyes out, i always seem to cry at anything to do with Hannah.

I predict a showdown with Fred and Serena. Maybe face to face maybe in court. I think there’ll be a reunion with Nick and I think she’s going to take Gilead down. And I especially predict that Aunt Lydia is going to lose her shit when she finds out she’s escaped

But also really want to know where the hell janine is 😱

I'm glad she made the decision she did, I was worried she would insist on staying and couldn't really see where the story would go from there. I'm excited about the possibilities of what could happen now.
