I started another thread a few weeks ago but I've lost it

I've gotten hooked on this since the third series started and have now finished 1 and 2 as well. I'm really impressed with the access they've got to things like London Fashion Week, the west end theatre and TV shows and working with Rankin.

Nobody from the first 2 series seems to be doing much apart from Instagram/ YouTube, though I suppose theres money to be made from that 🤷🏻.
Paige, aka The Most Annoying Contestant Ever, has done tv work but that seems to be it.

One of the girls from series one, Steph, works for the BBC on the casualty set. Not sure about the others.

Almost at the end of season two now. I do know who the two head to heads are and am happy with them. A worthy winner.

Nikki popped up on my fb timeline advertising L'Oréal just after I posted I used to watch her Insta videos of her taking her make up off

Really a week of two halves.
Seemed so unfair the two that do well on the professional assignment are the two in the face off. I mean I understand that it's all about the second assignment but it felt really off.
And I thought it was a harsh choice of twins for that assignment, given they had quite rough looking skin.

I didn't get what they loved about Craig's look, it was another one that ignored the features of the model's face.

And in good news Sophie posted pictures of herself at her first job on Instagram.

It was a weird week really. As Jay said two halves and it did seem unfair the two best on assignment were in face off. Craig I’m just a bit bored with and wasn’t sure what all the fawning over his look was about. It felt like quiet face painty to me and bit messy (suppose that’s why I know nothing about make up ). Jacks was just a mess. Completely rubbish and didn’t look like much work for the time either. I didn’t even love their music video make up though it did work the best out of all four looks. Dolli’s was brilliant but how is that’s guilty pleasure - a black hole I did listen to her saying it was time alone but too much is black hole but surely the guilty pleasure if the alone time not the black hole bit. Her make up was good though. Sophie arrrrg she completely messed up with timing and it was such a shame. They seemed to love the look but it wasn’t finished. I felt so bad for her when she got emotional and thought Val was really kind. I still really think Sophie deserves to win so hoping she aces the in studio look next week. I’m not sure how she’ll do with the presenting one though so be interesting competition end.

I’m really loving the judges now. I think they’ve settled into the roles and it feels natural and appropriate now. I’d love to see them doing more tutorials eg their take on one of the music video looks this week. I know they give us a version of the face off look but that isn’t too interesting really. Rankin I’m not so sure of but I suppose he must have massive sway in the industry as they have him towards semi finals every single year. He just reminds me of James Corden whenever I hear him.

Looking forward to next week. I don’t even wear make up but this has been my must see tv recently.

Sophie must win, surely? The other two are just nowhere near her.

I smiled at her Instagram post about her job too! Wonderful for her.

I couldn't understand the love for this either - it just looked a mess to my untrained eye.

I thought that Sophie's even unfinished, was better than the dog's dinner Craig produced.

I agree that the judges are much more likeable now - as you say, settling in.

Is Sophie's new job the one that she was offered during the show a week ago?

Looking forward to next week, it looks as though Dilli is back to her "signature" look - which she does very well, but that's not surprising because it's almost the only thing she ever does.

I really want Sophie to win. She's largely been consistent throughout the whole series and has a broader range of looks. I'm amazed Dolli has made it to the final, she's clearly very talented but all I remember is the times she's messed up.

Don't understand the fuss about Craig either

I wonder if they made such a fuss about the others because Sophie really has consistently killed it every week and there really hasn't been anyone at her level? Yesterday was her first fail I that she didn't finish but the work she had done was high quality. Her blending etc was amazing.

I suppose Craig's look was clever because all those colours shouldn't have worked but did. Nevertheless, as someone who knows very little I also wasn't a fan.

Surely Sophie must win. She is so talented. I'd love to hear .ore about her thought processes when breaking her make up down systematically. So interesting.

I'm shocked Dolli is through over Jack. She does the same thing every week. Paint the face a block colour then she adds dots or lines on it. She didn't meet the brief, a black hole isn't a guilty pleasure .

I saw her Instagram but didn't read it in case it was a spoiler.
I was surprised she didn't win the video one, she hardly had to change anything and Jack had to change his eye completely.

I’d have gotten rid of dolli over jack too. Sophie for the win now absolutely.

I really liked Craig’s look. Saying that, I find the judging a bit erratic as to what’s good and bad and I’m often at odds with their opinion.

Sophie’s a sweetheart, she always looks great as well which must inspire confidence.

I’d have preferred to have seen Dolli go over Jack too but she got lucky.

Agree that Dolli should have been the one to go.

Jack was imaginative, and even if he sometimes didn't achieve what he was aiming at, he was thinking outside the box.

Dolli, as PP's have said, has pretty much one "gam" look and one "weird" look, and has done them to death.

And yes, Coco - I hadn't given it any thought - but how the hell is a black hole a "guilty pleasure"? She should have been out for that alone!

Well I'm glad others were puzzled over the fuss over Craig's work. It was well done certainly but could see why it required so much excitement!!

Must say I did panic slightly when Sophie was in the face off. Especially when she started with the black too!!

Thought Jack came off well in the professional assignment. Very natural anf a good rapport with the models. Think that might have been what clinched it for him.

Missed bits of the last episode. Dolli's guilty pleasure look was not great. I would not have put her through. Glad Sophie is in the final. Even if she didn't win she will go on and do great things.

I was sorry to see Jack go, I thought he has been overall stronger than Dolli. I don't really understand all the Sophie love - she seems fine, I guess? Jack developed such a good rapport on the set - he has worked as a carer so maybe has developed his people skills with a wide range of people. I thought he seemed lovely, I hope he manages to achieve his dreams.

Yes thought they got carried away a bit at that point!! Made me laugh that, it was like they got a bit of a boost to their confidence and felt they were now equal pegging in directing.

But before that they were great with their model. I quite warmed to them, hadn't before as I was put off by the jumping around and squawking in excitement at everything. (Not an uncommon trait!)

Glad Sophie is through too. I'd like her to win.

I have Sophie-Love because I like her personality, she's talented and focused. And she doesn't jump around and squawk 😆

I actually thought Jack was a lovely and graceful loser, I warmed to them more in the last episode.

The Sophie love for me is down to her talent and focus. As well as being utterly cool.

Jack reminds me of Ellis from series1.

I like all of them - if they are a bit over enthusiastic at times, I think that is rather lovely. They are young, let them leap about a bit! I think Dolli looks amazing and cool but that Jack has been the better MUA overall. I don't really mind who wins, they are all appealing and talented in their own ways.
