If next week is prosthetics/effects week, then SURELY it'll be Sophie's turn for the crown.

You'd think, but dont forget Mathius was the prosthetics genius in Season One who went in prosthetics week!

As soon as they say "oh this is what I'm good at, I'm confident I'll do good", you can be sure they'll go out .
I'm glad Samah went, she wasn't good enough to stay out of the face off 4 times. As soon as she put the glitter on the eyelids me and DD were shouting Nooooo, that wasn't what they wanted.

Think it was time for sahma to go really. I also wonder if she did full eye glitter on purpose as they were quite specific that it wasn’t to be on eyelid and she normally listens well.

Dolli’s confidence has taken a tumble though. She is very hit and miss. Craig just seems consistent - not amazing but always good. I wasn’t really sure about the robot mechanical look but I guess it worked. The other contestant is just so unmemorable for me - I can’t even remember their name. I know they worked with dementia patients but sounded like short lived change. They sometimes do great work and sometimes not but it never seems memorable. I was cringing when they started with the jewels it was looking pretty good until then.

Sophie was amazing but she does seem to have more training that say Craig or Dolli who work on makeup counters. She’s studying it so must have been taught techniques like skull cap and prosthetics etc. Not trying to minimise her achievements though as she’s clearly really talented and creative as even if taught skills she’s still has to think of the concepts. I like her personality too.

I loved Riley’s (wrong spelling I think!) black and gold face. It looked amazing and really drew me in. I think it’s the concepts of no eyes and it really looks off another world and got me thinking about what was behind the outer layer. Was really spooky and thought provoking.

I wonder how the models do it when they have their eyes covered. Wasn’t there a episode in prior series where almost everyone covered their models eyes. That girl had her eyes covered right at the start so 2hrs plus in chair with no vision then the photo shoot then I assume the cotton pads were removed. A long time to be make up like that. I don’t know how they do it. I remember one episode the models mouth was covered up too!! I would be so freaked out by either of those.

I agree with Lifenight - I feel that Samah had just had enough of always being in the face-off. It must be incredibly demoralising.

And in fairness, both offerings were rubbish with regard to the brief.

Love sophie her work is so well thought out and yes she really does has amazing eyes.

I really like Sophie and I'm trying to work out if I think she's brilliant because I like her personality!!

She should do well next week but it's not unheard of for someone to do badly in an area they excel in!! I think it's the pressure of expectation

I don't understand why Ryley said she had never done prosthetics before. Why would you not practise the minute you heard you had got on the show? It come up every series 🤷🏻

There's a posting her Instagram with 80s Madonna makeup and it is stunning - she actually sculpts her face to look like Madonna. I hope she was offered her dream job.

He did, so he should have walked it. His gunshot was good but I see what they mean about going bigger. Here's very cautious in his work.

Wish Craig had been in the face off.
His gluttony was so rubbish, looked no effort or imagination at all.

After doing well last week both lads kind of lost it this week.

So glad that Sophie shone in her favourite area and the pressure didn't get to her. Those pussy lumps of skin totally belong in sporners corner. Really hope she does get a job offer and gets to do what she's so good at.

I know Riley had been uneven but wish she had stayed.

Surely no-one would virtually offer a job and then not follow through? Sophie's work has been almost consistently excellent.

I agree that Craig's "Gluttony" was - not to put to fine a point on it, pathetic! I could have done better myself.

I was sorry to lose Ryley - I thought she had much more potential than Dilli, and I honestly thought that her tattoo cover looked better, (and she used better technique) but it might be different when you see it in real life.

Both the lads seemed to be less good this week, I thought.

Guessing at Dolli to go next week after a face-off against Craig. (Though Jack not terribly consistent, so it could be against him).

Praying that Sophie doesn't have a bad week (it can happen to anyone) and end up in it.

On an unrelated note - I LOVED Dolli's hair! Colour suited her, style suited her - she looked fabulous!

You could have given any random 3 year old a bar of chocolate on a hot day and got a better look than craig managed.

Surprised Ryley didn't excel in the cover up challenge given all her practice on her birthmark. Shame, I preferred her to Dolli personally but her Envy make up was so poor I think she knew she'd reached the end.

I liked Ryley as a person but felt she was quite amateur compared to the others. Sophie stands out by far.

Val loved Sophie's work but she didn't give her a ding dong. When she was finishing what she was saying and passed the tablet to Dom it seemed a bit off.

I thought that too about the non-ding-dong. It was strange as she clearly loved the work.

Sophie is just lovely and so so talented. I hope she really excels in her career - she’ll get her dream job now surely. She had training in prosthetics at uni but still showed bags of talent on top of mere basics.

Craig “I’ve got a degree in prosthetics” on the other hand was disappointing. Maybe he applied them well I can’t remember because everything was just so low key. The bullet wound was too neat and glutton face wasn’t even fat. I mean my bloody chin is bigger than that!!! Has he never actually seen an obese person?? Doing gluttony that chin and cheeks should have been really exaggerated and properly chubby. His model should have looked like a different person and they didn’t. He’s too safe zone isn’t he.

Jack I thought was going well this week. Their peaky blinders make up looked good to me as did their main one with the eye and mouth. I think they’ll be in the finally but obviously hoping Sophie wins as she’s amazing b
