casualty has this recurring trope where the ambulances always arrive long before the fire brigade, which seems more than a little unreasonable

Adi, who wants to be a daddy - not bothered about him as a character, so not invested in the storyline, which all seemed contrived.

there are too many characters just rammed in - new F1, Matthew and Adi. It’s just so incredibly bitty and disjointed, with storylines just left hanging in mid air, like Faith and her one-night stand.

What was all that crap with the pregnancy storyline? As if they would have taken her for a scan, saw there was no heartbeat, managed to hide that fact from the mother (despite the fact a second opinion would also have been sought), not then telling the mother there was no heartbeat and wheeling her back down to A&E and then she was casually told there hadn’t been a heartbeat whilst she’s just sitting in her cubicle.

It’s ridiculous things like this that really annoy me about Casualty - there’s just no attempt to even make things believable.

Rash’s crush came across as ridiculous - I mean how old is he supposed to be? He acted like a 10 year old boy would if he bumped into his crush in the school cafeteria.

Im rapidly losing interest in the show.

I can skim over the unrealistic stuff that doesn't get to me. I think it must be the characters who are making the show downhill. Possibly storylines too?

I think it’s because they were centred around the “stars” rather than the actual casualties. Why do a story about human trafficking that basically ignores the actual folk being trafficked? They were just ciphers and that is highly insulting.

could anyone keep count of the number of times Ethan cried in the second one? Is he the worlds most boring man? What did the feisty cop seein him?

I wish they wouldn't do that thing of retrofitting the facts. It would have made much more sense if they'd introduced the cop a few weeks ago rather than having her suddenly turning up out of the blue for the sake of one episode.

I missed the Dylan photo! I had a dream about Dylan last night. He was trying to administer a general anaesthetic but it wasn't working. He asked me to count to ten (usually by 5 you're under the GA) but I was getting to 100 and still awake. I told him it was because I'm a fat cow and needed more.

Have I missed what happened between David and Rosa? I can’t remember if they’re still together or not, and then Ollie said something last night about David pushing him away and said he’d done it with Rosa too.

I didn't think the first episode was too bad and thought the second episode would be Ian going on a quest to find the missing girl. However the second episode, what was the point????

To show Ethan as an actor who can cry at the drop of a hat. I’ve never seen any adult tv character (of either sex) cry as much as Ethan. It is sooooo predictable - any hint of anything emotional, and the tears spring to his eyes.

I've just watched the first episode and started 2....come on to say Ethan dating already? Didn't his girlfriend/fiancee/mum of his child die less than 6 months ago...... since the he's messed up being a dad, given up the baby, got the baby back, is just starting to function somewhat normally and he's dating again.....honestly.

For those asking who the young girl was a couple of episodes ago - I think she was in Dodger....the cbbc drama....which was actually better than Casualty!!! Still....I am still invested in it...so back I go.

I watched the first episode and found it relatively exciting, absorbing, and I usually enjoy Iain’s storylines so all good despite the return of the appallingly dreary Ollie. Then I watched about five minutes of the second one - got to the point where Ethan announced he was going to the little boys room and it was just - no. Just never give him any storylines ever again and keep us all happy.

Phew.....thank goodness he didn't move on. I can watch next week now safe in the knowledge the story writers might have some poor decisions... ..but not on this one. Lol.
