I can't find a new trailer - anybody got the link?

WeeDonkey · 30/04/2021 19:41

I can't either, @shyposter. Maybe somebody can link it.

ElfDragon · 30/04/2021 19:45

Ulysses the voiceover said ‘AC12 interview of Ted Hastings’ - the interview in season 5 was done by AC3, so presumably a new interview for Ted?

Don’t know why Ted always gets a blue sweatshirt rather than the grey that everyone else gets though!

ElfDragon · 30/04/2021 19:47

hopefully this works

It’s the same trailer, with a new bit added at the end

diddl · 30/04/2021 19:55

"the interview in season 5 was done by AC3, so presumably a new interview for Ted?"

Or Steve watching the old one?

GrandmasNightgown · 30/04/2021 19:57

Honouring Mary, mother of Jesus?

ElfDragon · 30/04/2021 20:00

Yes, Steve could be watching the old one. But the voiceover is a clip of a female (Chloe?) saying ‘AC12 interview of Ted Hastings’, which is not something that has happened so far. So the implication is that Ted is in line for another interview next episode.

No idea why the BBC website hasn't bothered to put this one up! Confused

I thought it sounded like Carmichael
ElfDragon · 30/04/2021 20:58

It could be Carmichael - tbh, it could be any female, I’m notoriously bad at placing voices Grin

AncoraAmarena · 30/04/2021 21:08

I think it sounds like Carmichael too and that it's the old interview Ted is wearing his blue prison jumper. They have a lot to cram in on Sunday night if Ted's going to be rearrested, shoved in a blue jumper and then interviewed.

Perhaps Steve is re-watching it to figure out what's behind the money Ted gave to Steph? Although that tweet is by Jed and he says:

As on Sunday night, you have to watch to the end ...

Ooooh exciting!

WeeDonkey · 30/04/2021 21:18

It sounds like Carmichael, but last series she interviewed him as AC-3. This is an AC-12 interview, so this series.

I'm a bit gutted if Kate / Steve grassed him up to her.

ElfDragon · 30/04/2021 21:48

The voice clip is definately (wink) from a new interview. Ted hasn’t been interviewed by AC12 before.

I can’t tell whether the glimpse of Ted in the blue sweatshirt is the old interview or a new one. It does look as though it could be a clip of the old interview being re-watched - it seems a bit grainier, iyswim.

It’s going to be a busy episode - filling in the blanks of why Kate and Jo ran off, Jo being moved from prison and seemingly ambushed, Steve, Ted and Kate out in the field involved in a further shootout/more arrests, Ted being rearrested and interviewed, plus the unmasking of H if the trailer is to be believed. (Plus potential for Terry Boyle to be included with his photo evidence, and possibly Steph popping up again - may be how/why Ted gets interviewed again) That’s a hell of a lot to fit into one episode!

ElfDragon · 30/04/2021 21:49

Oh, fgs, that should of course be Wink. Too many brackets!

WeeDonkey · 30/04/2021 22:22

I think it's new as in his first interview last series he had a shirt under the jumper and in the second he was quite stubbly. He doesn't look stubbly, but it is grainy.

ElfDragon · 30/04/2021 22:27

Yes, I was checking for the stubble too, but couldn’t be 100% sure. But the voiceover confirms there’ll be a new interview anyway, just don’t actually know whether he’s been arrested, or just helping with enquiries.

ElfDragon · 30/04/2021 22:33

Although it does say ‘in the presence of his solicitor’ rather than ‘police federation rep’, so I would assume arrested.

faithfulbird20 · 30/04/2021 23:03

I honestly don't know how they'll tie everything up in one episode. I've already got knots in my stomach.

TedisnotH · 30/04/2021 23:10

That's definately Carmichael's voice at the end

Ulysses · 01/05/2021 07:51

I remain convinced that it's a recording from the last series rather than something new. Brandyce and the solicitor both get a credit in S6E7 and both appeared in that interview scene. BTW Ryan is also credited for episode 7 and we know he is dead so it will be a flashback/recap of previous.

The AC12 part I'm not so sure though. This show is keeping me on my toes!

YoutubeZoom · 01/05/2021 08:59

We also had an earlier publicity shot with Thurwell in action during his police days. Also flashback.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 01/05/2021 10:02

I was reading a catch-up in the telegraph yesterday. So H is called H on the basis for Dot tapping 4 times as he died?

That could mean anything! D? 4 people? Nervous tic?

I suspect we will never known what’s going on...

In other news - I saw an interview with the fella who broke his back (I am terrible with names) and his wife (and dog and child) living in America. It was one of the few celeb lifestyle pieces that I thought ‘they look like a lovely family - ahhhhhh’.

GrandmasNightgown · 01/05/2021 12:27

So H is called H on the basis for Dot tapping 4 times as he died?

Not quite.

In the dying declaration, Dot was asked to blink on the first letter of the Big Bent Copper's name and he blinked on H. Whilst also tapping his fingers (spotted later by Steve) and construed as dot, dot, dot, dot

So could the person's name begin with H, well yes quite possibly. Or not, if there are four like Dot that who need to be rooted out. But what does 'like Dot' mean? Main assumption is any OCG bent copper/official; there have however been oodles of those, but you can narrow it down to those what are acting more of their own volition than because of coercion

Another theory is that 'Dot' refers to someone who have been deliberately infiltrated into the police by the OCG - and that we saw in S1 Hilton commissioning one, presumably the 4th to join, Ryan. The other two being Dot and Jo (who shows just how long the OCG has been around and how long a game they'll play)

TL:DR - we don't know exact significance.

But there are still Bent Coppers to be found out.

But will Big Bent Bastard off anyone in AC12 (Kate has survived, for now at least). Because surely they'd want rid of straight coppers who thwart their activities in general or are coming close to the worst (child sex abuse, trafficking).

How far do we think they recruited Hastings in S2?

toffeebutterpopcorn · 01/05/2021 12:33

Maybe he didn’t know more code and meant D?

Rhannion · 01/05/2021 12:55

Anyone remember that Kevin Costner film No Way Out ? Its excellent and you must watch until the end as its just as good as The Usual Suspects imo. Maybe Jed is a fan...!
