Grace is a detective. Written by Peter James, there are 15 books in the series I think and I have read them all.
Can’t wait to see this TV adaptation.

Ooh I saw the advert and thought it looked interesting. I wasn’t aware they were based on books( if it says that in the ad I missed it!).

What other detectives do you like @Twospaniels? Is this a midsomer mursers type or a morse type? I’m more of a morse/ poirot girl myself.

More gritty than Midsomer. I find that rather gentle and tame compared to Grace, although how that will translate from the books to TV is yet to be seen.

The only other series like are books by Sue Grafton about private eye, Kinsey Millhone.

If you start the books it is best to read them in order as there are things going on in the background that follow through each book.

Is the series running in the order of the books do you happen to know? I’ll record the series but I want to read the first book before watching.

I cant find any info. May have to wait and see what they say at the end of episode one. Which I wont be watching till later. Hadn't realised it was 8pm!

The script writer is Russ Lewis, who writes Endeavour, so that's another reason I'm excited to see this.

I've read all the Roy Grace books, I love them. If you like Grace, try the Tom Thorne books by Mark Billingham.

This is rubbish.

It’s like police detective cliche bingo! Plot is also bit on the ridiculous side.

I missed the first 2 minutes and don't have a clue what's going on.

I like Jon Simm though so will stick it out a bit longer

Just realised it started at 8 so no wonder I haven't a clue 🤣
