Leanne is vile too!

What a horrible thing to throw at a sister who has supported her unflinchingly through thick and thin

"Just remind me how many kids you've had?"

UhtredRagnarson · 03/03/2021 20:50

Nina and Ashas conversations are so awkward. They behave like they’re on a first date every time they meet.

Honeyroar · 03/03/2021 20:51

Taxi for Daisy and Elaine please!

UhtredRagnarson · 03/03/2021 20:54

Oh please! As if Leanne would just let that happen.

UhtredRagnarson · 03/03/2021 20:54

Taxi for Daisy and Elaine please!
Yep
Roussette · 03/03/2021 20:55

Oh hell.... they're now making PaulaWilcox ridiculous now. What's all this about

She's back to just throwing people out if she doesn't like what they say. Just as she did in Oliver's hospital room.
Akire · 03/03/2021 20:58

I like Paul and Daniel together, with Billy he was always playing pretend to be a grown up. Feels more even as friends.

eggandonion · 03/03/2021 21:00

Poor Simon, he needs rescued before he is murdered. It's time for Gary to return and clean up his patch. Now Johnny has chosen the living over the dear departed

PennyRoyal · 03/03/2021 21:00

Bloody Elaine. She's just making things worse for everyone (and us). Has she got a hidden agenda or just a whining, dithery old woman - if they're trying to make her another Mavis, it's failing badly.

Akire · 03/03/2021 21:01

Oh yes Gary cowboy to the rescue Grin

Silenceisgolden20 · 03/03/2021 21:12

Nina is coming across quite creepy now and manipulative.

And is anyone else a bit fed up of Yasmeen's expressions?

Honeyroar · 03/03/2021 21:21

I’m fed up of all their expressions. It was actually a shock watching Daniel and Paul laugh because it didn’t look fake, which is rare! I wish they’d go back to three episodes a week.

UhtredRagnarson · 03/03/2021 21:27

I think the opposite. I think asha is being unknowingly manipulative. And her father and brother are just being bizarre. They are obsessed with Nina and dev telling her they’re never letting her go ever! She’s only about 19 and she’s being pushed very quickly into a serious relationship with a 16 year old girl. Adi is right- she has been put on a pedestal. She didn’t want to go to a family dinner with her girlfriend of 2 weeks so Adi comes round and guilts her into it by comparing her to Ashas horrible ex!

excelledyourself · 03/03/2021 21:44

I like Asha and would like to see her happy, but I am finding the whole family's infatuation with Nina ridiculous. When I was 16, I'd rather have died than have my boyfriend come to a family dinner after a fortnight.

I'm wonder what the plan is.

Akire · 03/03/2021 21:55

It did make sense with Nina about wanting to do wild stuff. Is she even 18y yet? Not seen her drink. It’s a huge gap at that age with what one half of a couple can do or not.

But she lied to get out if it after lecturing Asha about being honest with her.

That's manipulative.

UhtredRagnarson · 03/03/2021 21:57

I said way back when it first looked like it that they shouldn’t put Nina and asha together romantically and of course they did and it’s the disaster it was always going to be. They were friends- good friends. Nina was a really good support to asha. And now two weeks into the relationship they are having problems and the friendship will be gone when they inevitable split up. Why couldn’t they introduce a new character if they wanted asha to be gay.

UhtredRagnarson · 03/03/2021 22:00

No it wasn’t manipulative. She didn’t lie to manipulate asha, she wasn’t trying to get asha to do anything. She lied because she was feeling pressured to do something she didn’t want to do and didn’t feel she could be honest without upsetting asha.

YaWeeGobshite · 03/03/2021 22:07

I keep thinking Nina is looking at Dev rather longingly...

Clawdy · 03/03/2021 22:16

Am I the only one who doesn't remember ever noticing the community centre before!?

I did think this, but I think it will be more of a fatherly issue?

I agree. I also feel like Asha is rushing things; worryingly so. Maybe desperately clinging on to any slightly older female who shows her some care and attention?

I don’t want to show off, but...

I thought at first, seeing as we saw Paul discussing it with Ed, that Ed was going to invite him to live with them - despite having five adults there already. But now he’s suddenly been in a scene with Daniel out of nowhere - the same Daniel who’s without a flatmate since Adam and Sarah reunited - I think I can guess where Paul is heading.

I could write this myself Grin

The question now is, will the writers allow Paul and Daniel to simply be friends sharing a flat, where one happens to be gay and the other straight? Or will Paul develop a crush on Daniel - or Daniel suddenly begin questioning his sexuality?

I suppose it would add a bit of a frisson if Daniel the character started dating the ex of Billy - Rob the actor’s ex...

Grin

I know Daniel actor is a gay man but I think he plays a very convincing straight man. His chemistry with Carla was amazing. Not so much shinaaaaade.
