Aggie's nurses uniform would have drowned Leanne of Duty as she's twice her size. Like Grandma's nightie, it would cover everything Grin. Which would save us all a load of grief.
It was so slow and plodded along from one cringe moment to the next. The fake fun in the pub with Eileen, Sean and Billy, laughing about nothing. The constant clumsy gay cliches.
And who says Garlic Breads?

I wonder if it is worse when it's on for an hour rather than two thirty minute episodes - it all seems stretched and spun out.

Fiddlersgreen · 27/03/2021 12:31

Why was James doing Aggie’s washing anyway, I thought she was staying elsewhere?
So would have no uniform washing to be done at home?

StillCoughingandLaughing · 27/03/2021 12:38

Apart from anything else, it actually looks like a naughty nurse costume. Surely they could have just said she’d bought it online?

I missed the washing line bit, I must have been doing something more interesting! The lads drinking cocktails were dire, and Billy really was not missing out.
I feel sorry for Simon. I think Toyah has been watching Classic Corrie and wants to rescue Kelly. She sees herself as a better role model than Janice.

woodhill · 27/03/2021 16:01

Shouldn't Billy be more concerned with non worldly matters.

It was so dull last night

eggandonion · 27/03/2021 17:11

I'm sure he should be on zoom calls with the bishop, and attending online meetings with parishioners.
Our vicar ran a virtual cake sale, people baked and other people made appointments to buy boxes of buns and slices of cake.

nildesparandum · 27/03/2021 21:25

Billy never did much vicaring when he was a vicar and now he is supposed to be an archdeacon he never seems to do much archdeaconing. I do not know what an archdeacon does, but I would think it is a bit more than just sitting in the pub with your friends.

MarieDelaere · 27/03/2021 21:50

Billy seems to be archdeaconing his way through all the deadly sins. Like an apprentice Bishop Brennan, but anglican.

Anyone else in Scotland? I HAD to watch the rugby and though I’ve tried several times I cannot watch Fridays episodes on STV catch up it just won’t load. I am getting really frustrated with it!

Or could anyone give me a run down of the two episodes I know it’s a lot to ask.

Optimist1 · 27/03/2021 22:34

@Mollypolly2610 I can't be relied upon to give a decent resume, but can you watch it on ITVhub? I'm in England but can access STV and ITV catch up platforms.

Mollypolly2610 · 27/03/2021 23:00

@Optimist1

Just tried it. I can’t watch STV on it and can only get Classic Corrie. Sad

Disclaimer: I’d had a video call with a friend, which included a few vodkas, before I watched. However, the gist is:

Todd invited Paul out for drinks to an expensive-looking but completely empty bar. Todd picked up a bloke on Grindr, but actually wanted to set him up with Paul so that he could go to Billy and say ‘Paul’s moved on’ and steam in.

Leanne went to the police in the hope that she could grass up Will Mellor and get protection in return; but the police haven’t got enough on Will Mellor, so are making Leanne going undercover.

Michael and Grace’s baby has anaemia, so Ronnie, because he is a sickle cell anaemia carrier, thinks he must be Michael’s dad and has passed it on. Aggie told Ed that’s a load of old toss.

Fiz is still angry with Tyrone for fancying Alina, but is trying to grit her teeth and get on with it.

Eileen, Sean and Billy got pissed. Sean blathered on about his MLM for a bit, so Eileen went home to eat moussaka.

Oh, and I think Bernie burnt the bacon. That’s not a weird euphemism - she was actually cooking bacon.

In the bar, Todd at one point wondered where Neil the barman had gone, did he return? Or is there a mysterious missing barman now.
My coalman arrives in the middle of Friday Corrie, I always miss bits.

MarieDelaere · 27/03/2021 23:42

@StillCoughingandLaughing, that's a fine summary Smile

MarieDelaere · 27/03/2021 23:44

Now that is definitely a 'weird euphemism'. Grin

PaintedBottom · 28/03/2021 00:11

As crap as the episode was, I did laugh at Billy's comment about Sean's overdramatic flounce.... "He's gonna give himself whiplash one of these days" Grin

Roussette · 28/03/2021 08:15

StillCoughing brilliant summary, I saw the first half but none of it registered as we had drunk Wine

I did see BBB (Bernie Burning Bacon). It was very exciting. Because they had to revert to sausage baps.

Do hope the sausages survived in the episode I missed
