Dan reminds me of a cartoon character and I THINK it's Shrek when he's a human! He's not showing himself off in a good light for future relationships ,being snakey and shady between Tamara and Jess. All the shit about only letting someone special meet his kid and he's behaving like that.I wouldn't trust him after watching this.

Trunkysbun · 06/02/2021 08:54

I imagine Jessika applied for all shows of this ilk (Love Island etc) ... in the hopes of being an 'influencer'. This was probably the first one she was accepted for

burnoutbabe · 06/02/2021 09:01

@happinessischocolate

I think if someone says leave 2 weeks running then they should be able to leave, as you say it's just abusive otherwise
Yes I'd want that to be the case but it doesn't seem to be. And someone can abuse that just for the publicity etc as I assume you get more exposure in the press if stay to the end rather than leave after 2 weeks (ie virgin and Lauren) and be forgotten.

Think Ming mark home stay may split them, the reality of 3 kids there. If she introduces them? And will we see baby?

Not sure why people stay so they can see someone else as surely that's easier when not being filmed 24/7 and can only sneak out at a dinner party!!

Trunkysbun · 06/02/2021 09:06

Because then they would fade into obscurity and wouldn't be able to sell fake eyelashes on Insta 🤣

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 06/02/2021 09:18

Now now trunky 🤣

I think if you get caught being unfaithful with another contestant, you should get the dunt and no pay.

That would sort out the doing it for love v the doing it for more airtime/notoriety/more fame.

If you truly found your soul mate, you wouldn’t care about going because you would have the best prize ever.

@Firstinlastout 😂 Yes! Dan IS Shrek as a human!

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 06/02/2021 09:39

Anyone else wonder why Jules wore a pyjama top and a foil skirt to the commitment ceremony? Or why Susie forgot to put her top on? Some very strange fashion going on.

wizzler · 06/02/2021 10:02

I imagine Nic was conflicted when Jess was spouting her drivel. If he said that she had come on to him Cyrell would have exploded. Poor Mick

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 06/02/2021 10:11

I don’t think Micko should have dissed her family. But I doubt what he said was wrong.

I think it is rotten of her to make him face the music and the fam. I think it was rotten of the judges to look so giddy at the prospect.

As I said, she looked triumphant rather than upset. I’ve not liked this one from the start and I’m not surprised at her actions at all.

She is punishing him and that is unfair. More so when she has set her stall at Dan. Are they both going to leave their partners next week to make a go of it? What if Tam clings on?

I keep waiting for the middle judge to break into the (born to) hand jive.

She won’t sing it as she’s gone mute.

Haha, yes! I was wondering why Susie was wearing a bra 🤣
Bettina500 · 06/02/2021 10:19

I agree Heidi is dramatic and hard work. But I think Mike is playing up to her insecurities and pushing her buttons. He says things a certain way then twists it to sound innocent. I don't think he's committed to her. I still think he fancies Jess. I get the impression he sees it all as a competition that he wants to win, like Spoonface from the other series.

YouAintKingDingALing · 06/02/2021 10:27

I don't know what was worse, Susies weird bra top or her lipstick. Both were awful

burnoutbabe · 06/02/2021 10:31

I think Mike is just a bit unrefined and doesn't really think too much about what he says and then Heidi goes moody from a slightly strange comment.

I mean most people would be happy to be told he could fall for her (or try) and not analyse everything to the nth degree.

The women tend to be more in professional careers here and the lads all tradesmen as far as I can tell. Uk one it's always men in IT!

happinessischocolate · 06/02/2021 10:42

I don't see Mike as the bad guy, he's changed since the start, he came across as really laid back in the beginning, now you only see him having a laugh when he's with the other guys, he said he feels he can't say anything without her overreacting, so he's saying less and less.

They obviously fancy the pants off each other and are having great sex, and neither of them seems willing to give that up, Mike said way back that he's never had so much sex, so he ain't going to write leave.

I don't blame him for agreeing with the ixperts, you would wouldn't you if they're taking your side. I do blame the ixperts though for their behaviour towards Heidi. Couples counselling isn't always about making it work, sometimes it's about helping you realise why it will never work, and being okay with that.

I like the fact that it is a genuine relationship whereby they have rows and finish the relationship, and then decide to stay together in private, not just on the sofa 🤷‍♀️

JustDanceAddict · 06/02/2021 11:04

Jules’ outfit was minging. The skirt was something my mum would’ve worn 30 years ago and the shirt didn’t go with it at all (shirt would’ve been ok w jeans).

StormyLovesOdd · 06/02/2021 11:14

Maybe Jules is starting to run out of outfits after all this time like you do towards the end of a holiday 😂. I noticed Hyde was wearing the same dress she wore in the bar on Mike's week too.

zippityzip · 06/02/2021 11:36

I feel gutted for Tamara as he's such a devious fuck. Went out to kiss Jess and then pats his chair for Tam as he "missed her".
Didn't expect that from him to be honest I had them pinned down as a success.

And why on earth hasn't Cyrell's husband brought up to anyone that Jess came onto him?!?!?

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 06/02/2021 11:38

Jess wants to take him home so that her family can get Micko to change his opinion.

Pigsaaaaaaarse.

She wants him to be put in the gladiatorial arena and to get his puddens pulled out on the telly.

mrstea301 · 06/02/2021 11:48

Jess is just a horrible person, she’s looking more and more unattractive as this saga drags on. Poor Mick, surely they should just let him go when even the other contestants are pointing out that Hess is obviously lying? Shame on the ixperts for allowing this to drag on for so long. I just find it strange as it doesn’t put them in the best light professionally, they’re very “pick and choose” about what they choose to address with people. Jess is just trying to have the best of both worlds, she wants to absolutely slate Mick and then claim that she wants to stay with him? Ridiculous.

Susies lipstick is disgusting and so unflattering, her lips just look shapeless like two strips of ham.

Poor Heidi, she just cannot convey what she means and it slants the ixperts to Mike’s side. I almost feel that if the ixperts were doing their job properly, then there would be a decent relationship there to work on, but basically Heidi has to do all the work. I do think she’s a bit intense, but that’s not always a bad thing. If she felt a bit more heard by Mike, she might not feel so compelled to dissect their conversations in minute detail.

EnjoyingTheSilence · 06/02/2021 11:50

I do love how we all see the people in different ways. I was shocked to see so much hate for Mike (though did really dislike his old/new Heidi comment - fuck off Mike!) and how much sympathy Billy gets (such fake tears) but agree Suzie is not at all the innocent party in any of this.

I think the experts are utterly shite, how do they manage to get it so wrong?!

StormyLovesOdd · 06/02/2021 11:56

I think the "experts" are shite on purpose, imagine if all the couples were like Jules and Cam? I'd watch for a few episodes but then it would get really boring and we'd all be switching of in droves

I miss Lizzie and her '80s Madonna meets Lady GaGa in a charity shop' vibe.
SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 06/02/2021 12:03

Lizzie was a bit dungeon lite to me.

Jules is rocking the charity shop bargain bin/WI day out look.

Suze is rocking the charity bike ride permabruise saddle damage with that lipstick shade.

If a woman said that 'i could fall for you' I might fall in love with you

He said "I could try to fall in love with you". I don't know why the "try to" has been dropped when then discuss it because that was the most insulting bit. Why would anyone want to be with someone who had to "try" to fall in love with them?

Yes, absolutely the “try to” makes all the difference.

“I could fall for you” “I might fall in love with you” is suggesting/seeing the other person’s reaction to the idea of falling in love. Whereas “I could try to fall in love with you” is actually a neg.

Giving Mike the benefit of the doubt, he might just be awkward talking about love. After all this is a man in his mid 40s who by his own admission has never been in love. A red flag in itself. But come on. How arrogant do you have to be to not see that saying to someone you are sleeping with that you could “try to fall in love with you” is patronising and a dickish thing to say

"if I hear the phrase “I came here to find love” one more time I think my head may explode. Always used as justification for shitty behaviour as well."

Yes, absolutely.

TheRogueApostrophe

"He said "I could try to fall in love with you". I don't know why the "try to" has been dropped when then discuss it because that was the most insulting bit. Why would anyone want to be with someone who had to "try" to fall in love with them?"

Yes he said 'maybe, I could try and fall in love with you."

He said as they were discussing having a kid together, her choice just one kid, they wee holding hands and looking into each others eyes and it was romantic and jokey.

She totally took it the wrong way and behaved awfully. If I were Mike I would see it as a massive red flag.

"All of the responsibility for the success of the relationship is being put into Heidi. It doesn't seem fair at all."

I would agree it is not fair. But I also feel like she is the one wanting it to fail, waiting for it to fail.

He has his faults without a doubt but I think they genuinely feel something for each other. Sadly, I think it is just not love and that is never enough.

Trunkysbun "Putting my trunk on the line here ... don't hate me but, I find Heidi far too intense."

This with bells on!
