Anyone watch this tonight?

Just catching up now, it's the same show as "Your Home Made Perfect" but you guessed it.. a garden makeover this time!

It will be on iplayer to catch up on!

I thought it was PER go la with the emphasis on the first syllable.

Me too but they keep emphasising the Go bit.

Flaunch · 11/03/2021 20:28

First design wins hands down

Maireas · 11/03/2021 20:29

I like the circular garden, that's a more pleasing design. This is for about a third of the usual budget!

TheSpottedZebra · 11/03/2021 20:29

ROSEMARY?
Does it ever look that neat?

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 11/03/2021 20:30

I do like the second design. I need to view the first again.

Runnerduck34 · 11/03/2021 20:31

Watching a few minutes behind, but 20k is a small budget for this show!
I agree garden already look nice if a bit overlooked

TheSpottedZebra · 11/03/2021 20:31

Those globe lights are probably lovely, but not really the thing for people obsessed by privacy.
You'd just be drawing the eye at night.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 11/03/2021 20:32

I thought that Zebra!

These light up cubes are ugly lol

Garden lighting is so bad for wildlife 😬

Maireas · 11/03/2021 20:33

Yes, I'm not sure why you'd be sitting in a garden at night. I've only done that in very warm climes!

Flaunch · 11/03/2021 20:35

I sit in my garden at night all the time. Watching the sky, watching the moths, watching Netflix on my IPad Blush.

TheSpottedZebra · 11/03/2021 20:36

I love this bit, where Joel has to look like he's making use of the expensive prop...
Watch how he just moves photos around for no reason.
See how he embiggens them, then twists them!

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 11/03/2021 20:38

I've started going into the garden at night in summer, it's quite tranquil! My neighbours probably think I'm bonkers - I've even bought a headtorch so I can garden at the same time 😂

Maireas · 11/03/2021 20:39

Is your garden well lit, or do you go by the gleam on your device! Smile
TheSpottedZebra · 11/03/2021 20:41

I think they'll go squares and spend 28k

Grin this is so true!

This looks like quite a lot for £1K even considering materials.

I think I'd have taken more of the bullseye out - leaving a single ring - and planted the ferns in the ground. Won't they get a bit hot/dry in the pots if the garden receives a lot of sun? Constant watering!

Flaunch · 11/03/2021 20:43

There are a couple of lights, one on the house on the deck and one further down ( it’s 150ft long). They’re on a timer so go off at 10. This year I’m getting some festoon lights and I’m battling between white lights and coloured lights at the moment!

SwedishEdith · 11/03/2021 20:44

This garden just feels a bit cluttered and busy.

I like the budget garden though - always do.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 11/03/2021 20:45

This sofa looks really comfy!

Thewinterofdiscontent · 11/03/2021 20:46

I’m not sure about the second design. It’s the monkey puzzle tree garden the opposite way round. In 5 years when they’ve started a family and moved on, the new buyers will be saying “ who the hell plants a tree in the middle of the garden” . It might turn out to be a lovely feature ( nice seat under it) ...that rockery though ...shudder.

Flaunch · 11/03/2021 20:50

Really like this one.

Thewinterofdiscontent · 11/03/2021 20:52

Mmm. Too many pots round the tree but pretty good for the money.

Maireas · 11/03/2021 20:53

Can I come round and watch Netflix with you, @Flaunch??

TheSpottedZebra · 11/03/2021 20:55

Love it.

SwedishEdith · 11/03/2021 20:55

Looks nice but don't see why they needed to dig up the whole garden to get this.
