Know nothing about this but have found some C5 original dramas quite good!

For anyone who like me is still trying to find something actually worth watching.

@Hueandcry

RPJ works for me Hmm
If RJP works for you can you get him some better roles in the future, poor guy must be deleting reference to this ridicudrama from his wiki page as we speak Wink
TheLaughingGenome · 11/02/2021 17:03

Maybe they recorded a lengthy different script and it's all just been terribly badly edited and that would be my excuse

Hueandcry · 11/02/2021 19:00

@Critical Woman I was replying to @HildegardeNightingale aka the spelling police

CriticalWoman · 11/02/2021 19:17

I know, it was a joke 😁
Well it was supposed to be!

CriticalWoman · 11/02/2021 19:18

And the emoji above is meant to be laughing not grimacing Smile

HildegardNightingale · 11/02/2021 21:04

It’s not spelling police. It’s his proper name.

HildegardNightingale · 11/02/2021 21:05

@Hueandcry aka cue and cry

Hueandcry · 11/02/2021 21:12

@Hildegarde meaning?

stumbledin · 11/02/2021 23:01

Apologies to Hildegarde and the Welsh community. Not sure whether the error in the title was my bad typing or my typing automatically assuming an English identity!!

Will book a re-training session for my fingers! Blush

The race issue with the boy was just silly. On the one hand we have to tell everyone our race when we fill in a form because our race is really really important and a major part of our identity according to the form compilers, but on the other films happily mix people of different races up in unlikely ways and we aren't supposed to care because race isn't important and we're all the same!

ImAncient · 12/02/2021 06:14

This was complete & absolute tripe. Such a good cast - what a waste.

SpanishFly · 12/02/2021 14:14

@HildegardNightingale I'm pretty sure the "incorrect" spellings are more of an autocorrect issue than anything else 🤷‍♀️

MrsMackesy · 13/02/2021 04:03

Still not RTFT, but just finished The Drowning - I really enjoyed it and the Irish scenery and architecture. Now on with Finding Alice and The Pembrokeshire Murders.

MrsMackesy · 13/02/2021 04:06

Some artistic license moments, but that's ok.

bluetongue · 13/02/2021 09:50

@Graciebobcat

I did enjoy it, while thinking it was extremely daft.
That sums it up for me.

Sometimes you watch a show that gets great reviews and has brilliant acting but for some reason or other you just can’t gel with. Other times you know a show’s a bit silly and roll your eyes but it keeps your attention and entertains you. Plus there’s thread of course Grin

Did Tom's real dad know that Tom had died and is that why he wanted another DNA test? He and 2nd wife were very uncomfortable and distant when they met Daniel - quite rude I thought.

Daniel managed to keep calm throughout the whole drama. He seemed to see something in Tom's bedroom he thought was his.

The identical scar was too far fetched.

What was with that Head's PA looking so suspicious from the start?

LadyEloise · 07/04/2021 10:54

Can anyone remember what was the name of the good series about a child who disappears and the mother is convinced she sees her years later, please.
It was mentioned on this thread.

CounsellorTroi · 09/08/2022 10:00

I just watched this on Netflix.

Jill Halfpenny does look different - work done? Her coat looked like a man’s dressing gown.

Unbelievable how she could just waltz in and out of a school like that, no security to speak of.

Daniel was a thief but that got overlooked.

Bit far fetched that he had an identical scar to Tom. Also a bit far fetched that her QC brother could get a DNA test changed.

Why was it accepted that Tom had drowned in the absence of any evidence - no body? Why not treated as a missing person?

Fun, but daft.
