For anyone who like me is still trying to find something actually worth watching.

I actually don’t think it’s absolutely necessary to watch the first series first. Suffice to know Lisa used to be over Med and know she’s under him.

I’m quite pissed off with the casting of TomDan’s dad, hear me out

Ok, so the actor playing TomDan is clearly half Asian yet they’re trying to convince us he has two white parents. Now, I think his casting was perfect - he was a good actor (and he has brilliant hair!)

I’m fine with Jill Halfpenny as mum/potential mum as she’s beautiful and I love her. But why oh why couldn’t they have cast the dad/potential dad as East/South East Asian? It would have made literally no difference to the story, and it’s utterly plausible to have more than one mixed white/Asian couple in a town.

Out of all the “fgs why!!!!”s in this series, that was my hill to, well, not die on, but at least sit on and have a proper moan.

But wasn’t the photo of Tom Dan’s dad with the original/alleged/dead mum a picture of him with a woman who looked like she was of Asian origin?

You arent alone - it bothered me and DS too in fact so much that DS couldnt watch after a while as the casting annoyed him so much (lightweight) I soldiered on like the woman I am hoping the twist on a twist would be she had an affair, got preg with Tom, and the ex wasnt even Tom's dad I should write scripts

That's a really good point.

In fact, that would have made it more believable as to why Jill Halfpenny thought the boy was hers, due to him being mixed race (East Asian and white heritage like her son was).

I going to go against the grain here and say I don’t think the Tom/Dan actor looked part Asian. Dark hair and eyes, yes, but fair skin. Plus I do realise this is a sweeping generalisation but Asian people tend to have straight hair and his was very curly!

That would explain why Jodie's ex husband didn't buy into her theory that Daniel was Tom as the boy's appearance made it unlikely that he was their biological son. It felt to me like a kind of elephant in the room thing when the whole family got together.

I'm not sure that Jodie really thought that he was Tom- I think that she saw a passing resemblance, there was the guitar & the scar.

Then Mark was weird & Dan went to her & I think she thought that he needed saving from Mark, & had lost the focus of him being Tom.

I think she was surprised at the DNA test.

Could we please get the actors name correct. It’s not Perry-Jones or Penny-Jones. It’s Penry-Jones. A good Welsh name.
