Know nothing about this but have found some C5 original dramas quite good!

For anyone who like me is still trying to find something actually worth watching.

I Keep seeing the trailer for it and it looks ok even if Jill Halfpenny looks distressed quite a lot!
On for four nights which helps to keep up with the story , I find.
I read a lot of books that have similar kind of stories , so I am expecting a few twists.

littlefireseverywhere · 01/02/2021 16:26

I’m looking forwards to this too.

Graciebobcat · 01/02/2021 16:27

What's it about?

the80sweregreat · 01/02/2021 16:32

It sounds as if a mum thinks her son is actually alive about ten years or so after his died.
The TV guide I buy had a good write up about it , but I don't think it's based on a book.
I always associate Jill Halfpenny with theatre or winning strictly!
Sounds ok but it will probably be disappointing as these things sometimes are!

Graciebobcat · 01/02/2021 16:34

Ooh! I like Jill Halfpenny, she was in In The Club a few years ago which was fun (though I kept wanting to call it Up The Duff).

the80sweregreat · 01/02/2021 16:36

It sounds promising and has been heavily promoted on channel five.

stumbledin · 01/02/2021 16:41

Is it 4? Website is only showing 3!

Quote: In this gripping thriller, Jill Halfpenny stars as a mother who is convinced she’s found her missing son after nine years.

Also web site is saying watch now on My5 but please can me make this an episode by episode thread.

Binge watchers please start your own thread!

Thanks

Cally62 · 01/02/2021 16:47

Oooh Thanks for the reminder Stumbledin

Will set to record.

stumbledin · 01/02/2021 17:13

Well hopefully that's 4 evenings taken care of rather than 3!

Maybe message mnhq to ask to change @stumbledin the title to tv pace

Looks good

Borogroves · 01/02/2021 21:17

Seems quite good so far but Jill Halfpenny looks very different and I can't work out why!

the80sweregreat · 01/02/2021 21:22

That coat is appalling!
I Like her car though.

eddiemairswife · 01/02/2021 21:25

The relentless background music is irritating.

the80sweregreat · 01/02/2021 21:26

Much better coat now!

burnoutbabe · 01/02/2021 21:27

Am enjoying.

Wondering if they had ivf to conceive their lost son.

littlefireseverywhere · 01/02/2021 21:31

Rupert Penny Jones always looks sinister.

the80sweregreat · 01/02/2021 21:33

More beautiful homes! All channel five dramas have them.

JaimeLeeCurtains · 01/02/2021 21:33

Here you all are.

I wish I could cut my own hair like that!

the80sweregreat · 01/02/2021 21:36

I tried to trim my fringe a bit and it didn't go well!
If Ben was abducted ( possibly) they didn't take him too far away did they? It's all within driving distance.

addicted2spaniels · 01/02/2021 21:37

I'm watching...... with some trepidation.

Channel 5 things always start off well but are shite by episode 3. As was the recent one with the guy from Normal People..... The Deceived. What a steaming heap of ..............

readwritelove · 01/02/2021 21:46

Her shirt is almost the same as her coat!

the80sweregreat · 01/02/2021 21:48

Lots of ' middle distance gazing' and many coincidences that wouldn't happen in real life!
She is good , but the script feels a bit ' thin' so far.

GetOffYourHighHorse · 01/02/2021 21:49

How would she get a job without any teaching experience. That said I like the houses and Jill halfpenny is good in it if a bit mad, but then you would be in her position.
