Know nothing about this but have found some C5 original dramas quite good!

I enjoyed it

But it is a tad strange seeing RPJ as someone other than DI Chandler! He inhabited that character so fully.

I liked Marcella at the start but not by the end. Can't remember why though.

I love the theme music for Marcella. It's very funky.
She's ditched her lovely warm parka jacket for dodgy looking red leggings and big boots going undercover I noticed the other day!
I think my dh is secretly in love with Ms Friel! ( unrequited love , obviously! Lol)

DH says I should continue to watch this so that I can see how many other implausible situations occur .... Will she blag her way into the house? Into a police forensics lab or archive? Will she sneak a hair from the boy and one from her ex, and send both for immediate DNA analysis (without either of their permission)? Will the boy turn out to actually look nothing like her son, and what we are seeing is how he looks through her rose-tinted glasses?

All of those are pure hypotheses, by the way, and not spoilers

So she asks her ex for one favour, and it appears to be the use of his recording studio - not "will you consent to a DNA test and supply a hair with follicle", not "will you come look at this kid with me".

What on earth does the back-story of being a landscape gardener have to do with ANYTHING????
