I discovered it today and I can’t stop.

I know it’s drivel but it’s beyond fun and exactly what I needed.

OMG - have only just got into this, and have just finished four episodes without stopping and now have to go to bed!! Ridiculous but addictive at the sane time. The duke 🔥 🔥 🔥.
Back to earth, my Heyer recommendations would be Sylvester, Arabella and Regency Buck... When everything else is wrong with the world a GH novel is always the solution (or a quick viewing of the duke obviously)

Its supposed to be set in 1823. Much of the women's jewellery and hair accessories are from the 1920s to mid century. OH dear ... Dont they have reliable continuity people or stylists any more?

Just finished watched the second half if my 2 night binge of this. I loved Lady Danbury, the Queen and I also guessed the identity of Lady Whistledown well before the revelation (I clicked when she announced Marina's "situation")

1813 not 1823. I think they’re picking and mixing with the levels of historical accuracy they use TBF.

I am not surw it's faithful historical accuracy that they were aiming for.

That Duke, though .

We started watching it a few days ago, its okay, its not rubbish but its not amazing. Eloise is my favourite character.

My partner likes it for the plot, I’m not sure plot is the word he is really looking for.

DH guessed the identity of Lady Whistledown by ep. 3 know all .

Apparently there will be a season 2! 👏👏 (I love a bit of historical drivel 🤣🤣🤣)

I'm on episode 6 and have finally realised that the Duke reminds me of Ross Poldark.

Yes! I thought that too. Brooding, arrogant and so handsome. Even that seduction scene with him kissing her neck was similar!

I have v v naughty thoughts about both of them!

I also think either of them would make a great James Bond. We can only hope....

I don't usually watch that kind of thing but I loved it!

All the repressed sexual tension, a fleeting glance, brushed fingertips and then the next scene someone's doing it up again at a fence!

Very attractive cast really helped.

I've since watched the Pride and Prejudice film but the Mr Darcy was no good so now watching the BBC series. Colin Firth is making me feel things.

DH just asked if he should buy himself a ruffled shirt and some breeches.

The romping caught me off guard.

Loved it too - was memorised by Daphne and Hastings. Loved how a stolen glance, a touch of hands had so much sexual tension - and then they obviously let it rip! Very enjoyable. Thought Eloise was great and loved poor Pen. Well cast I thought. Want to know what happens to lady Featherington.

If you're a fan of The Duke, he's in For the People on Amazon. And his character in that is arrogant and haughty too!

Is this the Bridgerton Support Group?? I think I need help. I binged it over Christmas and loved it while being aware of its many ludicrous aspects. But it refuses to leave me and I'm becoming more obsessed with it by the day. The men! The brothers, the painter, the prince, THE FECKING DUKE, my God. And the sexual tension... I'm actually scared that if I watch the bridge scene any more times Netflix are going to send the perv police round!
