Voted Bill, Maisie and BVB. Really like Ranvir, but didn't like the Jive (let's face it if the rumours are true, she has won Strictly anyway!) Thought NVWLs is safe, so didn't vote for him.

Would like Maisie to win. Enjoyed her dances the most.

unique1986 · 12/12/2020 20:57

Maisie said she loved Gorka.
Interesting as I didn't think they got on that well.
How awful were Harvey's outfits.

SoupDragon · 12/12/2020 20:57

Placemarking :)

unique1986 · 12/12/2020 20:57

Jamie's outfits also do him no favours at all.

cantkeepawayforever · 12/12/2020 20:59

Query: In the semi final dance-off, so they have to do the second of their dances? Or can they choose?

Fearing for Ranvir....

BigBadVoodooHat · 12/12/2020 21:06

Just to follow on from the previous thread, from memory I’m pretty sure for the DO they can choose to do their highest scoring dance.

They turn the costumes/styling around in approx 15 minutes between dances on the main show. They’ve got as long as they like to get ready again for the dance off, there’s no schedule to stick to. So while the votes are being counted they get into their ‘highest scoring’ get up. There’s not much else for them to do at that point anyway 🤷‍♀️

So the clever pros make sure that they absolutely nail one of the dances, as a vote winner and dance-off insurance, and the other one can be a bit rough around the edges.

ilovesooty · 12/12/2020 21:07

I'm sure they choose.

cantkeepawayforever · 12/12/2020 21:09

Thanks. Sorry if I'm repeating a previously-asked question.

Elderflower14 · 12/12/2020 21:09

I gave Ranvir my 3 online votes and rang up and voted a few times too...

ohidoliketobe · 12/12/2020 21:11

Been watching on catch up so a bit behind.
My main issue with street dance/ couples choice is that for the other "standard" dances, there are set rules and steps to look out for - it's a level playing field for comparison. With the couples choice seems to me they can just be choreographed around the individuals strong suits, so they always end up looking impressive.
I really didn't watch Ranvir in her jive... Faaaaaar too distracted by Joe Varney's JPG sailor impression....

Actually, maybe what should happen is that they all have to dance their lowest scoring dance if they are in the dance off, and be judged on that.

Just checked (cos I’m really bored!): coincidentally for the last couple of years the dance-off dance has happened to be the couples’ second dance, but only because that happened to be the higher scorer.

Lauren & AJ were the last couple to choose their first dance (tango), which was their higher scored dance.

Maireas · 12/12/2020 21:16

Indeed, Simon. That was a treat.

That would be a MUCH better measure of who is the technically better dancer/performer Smile

CaffiSaliMali · 12/12/2020 21:17

All 3 votes to Ranvir, I've enjoyed watching her dance through the series and although her jive wasn't good I thought the 5 was very harsh.

I love Bill but I think he has made mistakes the judges haven't picked up so it feels poor Ranvir was the only celebrity to get a harsh score for a poorer dance.

You bugger!

You know how weak I am . . .

BigBadVoodooHat · 12/12/2020 21:17

I really didn't watch Ranvir in her jive

I wish I’d had the sense to do the same.

She really wasn’t good.Sad

Maireas · 12/12/2020 21:19

She just didn't seem to be able to kick and flick her legs.

moglovesmincepies · 12/12/2020 21:19

Thanks polka
