I am OK - the last two nights Islept from about 11 until 7 - best sleep I've had for a long time & makes me feel so much better.

Jane I have watched so many hallmark films lately, you are probably right.

Although, the plot would be that I would be single, and the fall in love with the person who 'totalled' my car.

The 'hunk' who ruined my Christmas would bring me a Douglas fir, and cook me Christmas dinner.

I am getting quite sad that none of these things are going to happen, actually. .

The timing does seem a bit odd and it would certainly be inconvenient for me but then, I'm not a professional tennis player

I think they just want to get some more competitive matches under their belts. Although it's being played indoors, apparently the surface and balls are the same or very similar to Melbourne.

Love the Hallmark storyline though. I've been persuaded (by myself ) into the free trial of the Hallmark channel with Amazon prime (no doubt another thing I'll "forget" to cancel after the trial period runs out).

Watched a good one yesterday involving the CEO of a candy cane company - brilliant.

I didn't know there was a Battle of the Brits coming up. Yes that would not suit me at this time of year either - I'm v disorganised (probably because of too much Hallmark channel).

Tennis Podcast has been really good this week - they're featuring lesser known players from the past - well, players who don't get the credit they deserve. It's v interesting. Seems a long time until some proper tennis though.

I think I’ll be following the Stan route - as much as I love Rafa his Instagram seems to be full of him climbing mountains - I’m sure that I’d have more fun with Stan and his wine and suggestive BBQs

It's been a horrible grey day here. Have clocked up a couple of Christmas films today - honestly, I think I've watched more festive cheese than ever before this year, yet I don't feel very Christmassy at all! I still need to ice my Christmas cake - not sure who is going to be eating it all mind you!!

I watched a bit of Andy vs Dan on Sunday and Andy vs Cam today, both on the LTA YouTube channel. Andy is top of the leaderboard at the moment. Last day tomorrow.

I made Christmas puddings and cake a few weeks ago and iced the cake. DH made mince pies yesterday. Presents also wrapped - don't think I've ever been so organised! Not looking forward to the supermarket shop tomorrow morning, don't need much, just veg and milk really, but I'm sure the queues will be back

On a positive note, DS passed his driving test yesterday

Great news on DS passing his driving test kazza - Pity there aren’t any pubs open for him to drive you to! DS2 passed his theory today so only about 6 months til he can take his proper test!

Evening everyone!

Today I had the hassle of the 'swapping of the cars', and yesterday a lovely trip to the dental hospital with dd2. Which was nice . She was still officially meant to be in school though, so we had online work to do as well. (Her school was never meant to close until the 22nd).

Hope everyone is ok- I tried to move onto 'hard core' Christmas films to day (around car stuff and a needy dog)- so so most of Elf/Nativity! and started Polar Express. I fell asleep watching 'It's a Wonderful Life' yesterday.

Well done to your ds, kazza!! My ds's driving license application (which has been on-going for over a year now) is further delayed due a medical assessment he has to have and hasn't made an appointment for). I think he is ready to give up. I still can't believe he is 18 next week!

Hallo! I' OK. Very little to do as am going to neighbours for the day tomorrow. Thank Gawd I decided not to go to France!

DD2 is tracking Santa on Norad.She has just told me he is wearing a mask. .

DS is working (McDonalds has been very busy)- and is working Boxing Day too . We have ordered pizza, which is a Christmas Eve tradition, despite the amount of food we have for the next few days.

Fizzy I've not watched The Holiday yet this year - ah the cottage! Love it!

I've managed to get my present wrapping done so just having a g&t and DS is watching Muppets Christmas Carol with me.

Aahh, Norad Santa Brings back memories but sadly, DS is too old for that now. He's still sitting in front of a computer screen but I'm sure he's not watching Santa

I noticed The Holiday was on earlier this year. Normally it's on around 11pm because it always used to be on in the background whilst DH and I were wrapping the last of the presents and putting them around the tree once DS had finally got to sleep! Again, something we no longer need to do, as DS DS obviously no longer believes in Father Father Christmas

We've prepped as much as possible and are now listening to Carols from King's (I recorded it!).

I hope everyone has the best Christmas possible, given the circumstances, and here's to a better 2021(eventually...!!)
