I love the snowdrops picture Fizzy - very cheerful. We had quite a bit of snow here at the weekend and it's still hanging around. There are some bulbs coming up in the garden but I don't know which ones they are - planted a few different things in autumn!

Well done Science - DH wasn’t too impressed with my score especially as two of my answers were Uncle Toni and Manacor . I’m not very good at retaining information about tournaments (or anything really )

We didn’t get snow this weekend Spidey but we had our fair share a few weeks ago

I’m also sad for Andy but it’s a long way to go and a lot of hassle to potentially lose in the early rounds - yes hopefully he will have more luck in the European tournaments (whatever they will look like this year!)

Judy Murray is doing a programme on Sky - I think she’s interviewing various people but the first one is about her (I’ll investigate further)

Not long now til some tennis starts- still up to my neck in home teaching - and all of a sudden, all the doctor/gp/hospital appointments that have been delayed all year, are going ahead. So in the next couple of weeks, my chances of watching things are a bit slim.

Is the exhibition match in Adelaide supposed to take place on 29th Jan? Not sure if it will be shown on TV - I’ve sort of lost track with the actual tennis what with quarantine, hairgate, mice infestations etc

I need help (in virtually every way but specifically with this problem!)
When I go into the Telly Addicts page, there is a list of all the threads, with the ones most recently commented on at the top. Until now, all threads I have previously looked at have been highlighted in pink but now every thread is just blue, making it harder for me to find the ones I want to look at. Hardly a massive problem, especially in the big scheme of things recently, but it's a bit annoying. Because I'm a luddite, I don't know if MN have made the change or if I've inadvertently done something
Any help greatly appreciated

After the last post on a page there is a button you can click called "Watch this page". The thread is then added to your watch list.

Mind you, I use the desktop version of this site, which from all I've read is much better than the mobile version or the app.

No news from here - I was so bored this morning (too wet to walk) that I took all the food out the fridge, all the shelves etc & gave it a real spring clean. My house has never been so pristine!

I have started watching Spiral on iplayer. Never watched it first time round and am really enjoying it. It's also very good for my French, which might well be very important in the future!!!

Yes magi well done on the fridge cleaning - last week I cleaned out the soap dispenser thing in the washing machine (not envy - should do that more often!)

The Adelaide Drive Tournament is on Eurosport 2 tomorrow from 8.30am when I think Rafa will be playing Thiem. I’m not happy as I’ve got to go into the office so won’t be able to watch it

I'm finally getting chance to watch - Rafa serving for the first set, but Domi has break point. Seems very good natured so far. .

(DD2 has a live lesson at 10- she has to do it downstairs, nowhere else for her to go, so she will need to make sure she mutes it- or the teacher might hear stuff she shouldn't ).

And Rafa has won.

And really confusing stuff- It looked like Djok had withdrawn from it (he's got blisters)- but then went on to play anyway? .

It's been raining in Melbourne- so the players there that have been in hotel quarantine- still can't practice.

It's all beginning to look like a case of 'is all this worth it'?

So- a bit of digging, has shown that Djok withdrew from his match- and Krajinovic played the first set. Then Djok played the second (and, a bit like his 'neck' issues in the US, didn't seem too hampered by his blisters apparently.). Article said it looked sore though.

I have now discovered that Adelaide is 10 and half hours ahead. i'm not sure why there is 30 minutes difference? I think it's an historical throw back thing.

Well done to Rafa- I know it's only an exhibition, but he has a habit of losing in these things in tournament run ups

There is a huge crowd im Adelaide. All sitting together - no masks. Shows how different things are there.

Ash Barty and Simona Halep now- and within 5 minutes, we've already been reminded that Ash used to play cricket, you know.
