New ’un.

Whose turn on the storyline merry-go-round will it be this week?

OP posts:
NCTDN · 15/11/2020 20:08

I think it's strange how some scenes had Oliver in the bed and not others, so when there was just the lion from one angle then he was there in the other!
Must be hard for the parents of the actor of Oliver to let him do those scenes though.

Optimist1 · 16/11/2020 07:02

I thought they might have filmed a few sequences of him (some with hands stroking, some without) and then cut and paste into the main action when required, @NCTDN . They could use the same clip more than once and I doubt we'd notice. We never see a shot of him for longer than 30 seconds or so, and would be unlikely to spot any continuity errors, apart from when the bed's patently empty!

eggandonion · 16/11/2020 08:21

Yes, my daughter reckons they just filmed a couple of scenes and reuse them. I don't think I could have let my child be involved in this story.
Friday was a difficult evening's viewing.

the meerkat sponsorship must be coming to an end. they said "CTM has been proud to sponsor coronation street" tonight. normally they say "is proud"

Roussette · 16/11/2020 19:40

Why is Craig's face so beetroot?

eggandonion · 16/11/2020 19:41

Faye has left her phone under the pillow at Craig's. I hope they used precautions.

yes, I hope they unplugged it. phone fires are very common. Wink

Ray has a lovely speaking voice. Total sleazebag but I could listen to him for ages

woodhill · 16/11/2020 20:08

Make up party - thought they were all meant to be aware of Covid even in the fictional setting?

Honeyroar · 16/11/2020 20:10

Ray reminds me a tiny bit of Vic Reeves somehow.

woodhill · 16/11/2020 20:11

Yes definitely, think this too

woodhill · 16/11/2020 20:12

He may sing in the club style soon 😀

MrsSteveMcDonald · 16/11/2020 20:13

I prefer Bob to Vic, he's a bit tasty

CoolShoeshine · 16/11/2020 20:54

I was watching something recorded off the tv from about 15 years ago and a much younger, darker haired Ray was starring in an Uncle Ben’s advert Grin

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 16/11/2020 21:48

Steve is so... I don't even know. Calm and rational. I'm crying my eyes out. Not sure how the actor manages it when he's had real life losses.

Honeyroar · 16/11/2020 22:18

He’s a bit too calm and rational for me. I think he’d be devastated and upset to have come to that conclusion.

Akire · 17/11/2020 00:05

I always wonder why Craig is so red, not just with pretty girls either as I thought at one point. Must be that condition R something causes flares for no reason. Though he’s done well as actor if that’s the case.

I did half expect him to die while they were at court. Hopefully it will not go on for much longer. Tracey and Nick have been amazing, Leanne be be drained with all that emotion.

Quite good to have some comedy with the make up pyramid scheme. Can so see that happening in real life. Not sure how if they are so broke they could afford free drinks all night mind. I hope Todd doesn’t start selling and make loads of money over him.

Roussette · 17/11/2020 08:08

I found the cosmetics thing funny too. Apart from when Tyrone put some on.

It just seems an unlikely pairing, the two of them (names escape me!)

Clawdy · 17/11/2020 08:23

Michael walking up and down the street with a tray of goods round his neck! That looked so silly.

zukiecat · 17/11/2020 19:16

@VanGoghsDog

I don't understand your post. Sarah lost baby Billy when he was born prematurely after Todd told her he was gay.

Before that Kevin was married to Alison and their newborn son whose name escapes me died soon after birth.

Alison took newborn Bethany from the hospital in her grief. She handed Bethany over to Kevin (I think) then threw herself under a lorry.

strugglingwithlife · 17/11/2020 19:30

Not sure if I will be able to watch when Oliver dies Sad

I quoted your post in error, as I said immediately afterwards.

PennyRoyal · 17/11/2020 20:04

I think Jenny was best placed to commiserate with Gail over a bottle and also to understand some of what Leanne is going through - she had a son Tom who died at about the same age as Oliver.

Deadringer · 17/11/2020 21:26

So Steve has lost a son, Kevin has lost a son, Sarah lost a son, Jenny lost a son, Liz lost a daughter, and now Steve and Leanne are set to lose a child. Its a bit muchConfused

Deadringer · 17/11/2020 21:27

Loving Ray though, love his snarky wit.
