This may have been said before so apologies, but bad enough Carla slept with Adam, and Peter thik its a random stranger, but if that was the case, surely he'd be telling her to get a covid test? Covid always getting mentioned but noone saying that to Carla...just my little observation :)

Perhaps in a plot twist Christine will turn out to be a scammer and relieve him of it. Here's hoping. Or perhaps when it comes out that he has no rights to the house after all he will have to pay it back.(not sure if he has received any money yet?) I don't care as long as he ends up sad, bitter and alone. And oh yes, in failing health.

Yes - I agree that he needs to get his comeuppance - preferably in prison, getting the occasional kicking, and then coming out to a scruffy bedsit and a life of lonely misery.

I remember my Ex MiL wailing that no-one in her family had ever been divorced before when her son left me (and the DC) for OW, which was nice. Especially as her daughter was already on her second marriage ... apparently that divorce 'didn't count'.

I reckon she'd be a great Corrie writer because she can completely obliterate from her memory entire marriages and sometimes even decades if it doesn't suit her narrative.
