Old thread full, so here we go again.

Going back to the last point on the old thread, I agree that they’re writing well for Tracy now. She’s still got her hard side, but they’ve made her caring in a straight talking way, rather than just a full-on bitch.

@TheFormerPorpentinaScamander

Was it Corey who got Amy pregnant?
No, I think it was Vicky's son (Tyler?)
TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 06/11/2020 23:02

Oh yes it was @EggsFried. I'd forgotten about them!

Akire · 07/11/2020 01:44

I was disappointed they didn’t make more a thing of the pill is a backup for pregnancy but always use condom for safe sex. They seem want make public information stories the rest of the time.

Dev needs sell up and get a proper job and spend time with his kids. He never had much money and his house is the most depressing on the street. If he really had decent business x4? Then why not rent nice flat and relax and enjoy life a little!!

StillCoughingandLaughing · 07/11/2020 08:42

So will we bring back Amber to sort home out?

Amber was great in her first stint, but when they brought her back they turned her into an irritating little madam. I’d happily have Amber 1.0 back.

A hotel!? On coronation street? Confused I thought Ray was a businessman? What planet is he on thinking he’d have any worthwhile trade on a residential street in weatherfield? Never mind getting planning permission. It would never ever happen. What a bonkers storyline. Do they not even think this stuff through?

I think it’s meant to be a whole leisure complex - but you’re right, it’s ridiculous. There must be a dozen brownfield sites in Greater Manchester where councils would bite developers’ hands off if they wanted to build something like that. But no; they want to pay top whack for residential property, demolish it and start again - after months spent jumping through planning hoops and presumably dealing with residents’ protests.

If I were Nick, I'd be thinking 'thank fuck, I've been dumped at last!' GrinGlitterballGin

PhoebeSnow · 07/11/2020 11:20

When did ITV build the new Corrie set? I hardly think it’s going to change any of it, it’s a stupid storyline and the sink hole story is dire.

eggandonion · 07/11/2020 11:28

The people who live on the street don't know it has been dickied up by ITV. So they will be upset.
Viewers who have been to the hairdressers in the past few years will know about the new set from reading soap magazines, so we know everything will be alright.
Todd will sort it, or Daniel. They have nothing else to do.

Where does that door lead to in the Bailey's house between the stairs and the kitchen?

Smallsteps88 · 07/11/2020 15:40

Cupboard under the stairs.

PennyRoyal · 07/11/2020 17:05

@Itstheprinciple

Where does that door lead to in the Bailey's house between the stairs and the kitchen?

Into next door and Ken's chair!

eggandonion · 07/11/2020 17:17

It must be a very nice cupboard to have such a good door. If Eileen had such a fancy cupboard she'd have a lodger in it.

Akire · 07/11/2020 17:27

It was where the hole was above Ken’s chair when they drilled through the wall. There is no space for it to be s cupboards unless they built a whole false wall there.

Smallsteps88 · 07/11/2020 17:31

The new layout of that house is so stupid! Those rooms are tiny and they go and make the back part even tinier by putting the bottom half of the stairs in it. How come their room can take that, plus a giant sofa and space to walk behind it but Eileen’s is nowhere near big enough for all that? Imagine that staircase coming into Eileen’s sitting room? there’d be no space for walking anywhere with a sofa in the room.

I’m watching Judge Judy and Asda’s Corey is on it! He’s really arrogant on it too! Grin

Corey is awful and is no doubt pressuring asda to have sex with him. I have a feeling that Craig is Faye's mystery online boyfriend, and she will find out, and feel that she has been manipulated into settling for the nice boy next door.
I keep looking at Debbie and trying to figure out what makes her look so odd, i just realised its her very narrow shoulders and bigish head, she is like a lollipop.

Smallsteps88 · 07/11/2020 17:55

I think Craig is the mystery boyfriend too.

DahliaMacNamara · 07/11/2020 20:17

Wait, wait, wait. Didn't Faye and Craig kind of ask each other out last night? Did I dream that?

Smallsteps88 · 07/11/2020 20:20

YES faye asked Craig out!

MsMiaWallace · 07/11/2020 20:28

I feel like putting my hand under Craig's chin to close his mouth.

We should all buy Debbies leopard jumper for Xmas!!

IHaveBrilloHair · 07/11/2020 21:57

Yes, Craig's mouth, it's constantly open.

Clawdy · 07/11/2020 22:38

Craig isn't devious enough for a plan like that. It's just a plot device to bring him together with Faye. But I agree he'd be better with Emma.

excelledyourself · 08/11/2020 12:10

I didn't realise that Faye hadn't met Noah? So he was going to meet her dad and Sally at the same time as meeting her for the first time? Confused

Housewife2010 · 08/11/2020 12:19

The hotel idea is so daft. It obviously won't happen because they'd lose half the characters and then the action would centre round the hotel, like a 21st Century Crossroads.

DaisyStarburst · 08/11/2020 13:04

Could Noah have been Geoff trying to keep in touch with Faye, he couldn't possibly turn up or meet her though.
