Old thread full, so here we go again.

Going back to the last point on the old thread, I agree that they’re writing well for Tracy now. She’s still got her hard side, but they’ve made her caring in a straight talking way, rather than just a full-on bitch.

Geoff is very nasty.

woodhill · 04/11/2020 20:40

Emma is an annoying character too

Honeyroar · 04/11/2020 20:43

I think Georgia Taylor looks much prettier now than she used to, yet Jane (?) who plays Leanne doesn’t look half as pretty as she used to. Some people kind of grow into their looks!

Smallsteps88 · 04/11/2020 20:45

@TheFormerPorpentinaScamander

I feel a bit icky seeing Geoff thrusting to Mr Boombastic Envy < not envy
Yep.

Btw is Sally not about 15 years behind the times getting all giddy about a chiminea?

AhoyMeFarties · 04/11/2020 20:55

@SchadenfreudePersonified

It seems to have lost the humour it used to have - and also was very well acted - most of these seem wooden .

However, early days . . . I need something to take me away from the real world.

Eek, Don't question the writers, they are watching this thread Try and work out where they all live , with who & why, then work out out where the disappearing children & pets have gone That's your lock down sorted Grin
Honeyroar · 04/11/2020 20:56

Why does Ray want to buy the street anyway? (perhaps he’s just sick of all the bad acting/plots too!)

JamieLeeCurtains · 04/11/2020 20:56

Who don't Sally and Tim put a six foot fence up, like most normal people would?

JamieLeeCurtains · 04/11/2020 20:58

Why

excelledyourself · 04/11/2020 21:03

I find Emma's "bubbly" personality a bit much most of the time, but I felt awful for her there! She's a good egg.

eggandonion · 04/11/2020 21:08

I miss Ashley and Clur. And Ashley and Maxine.
It was a bit rubbish tonight, but some lovely hair amongst the young women.

Mollypolly2610 · 04/11/2020 21:21

So - Debbie pops round to see Sally and a party is suddenly organized that never happens!

Did Debbies shoes not fit her?

Loved Eileen pulling out her chin hair though!

Clawdy · 04/11/2020 22:09

I hate the way Debbie struts around with that long coat, swinging that big handbag, it looks so posed and silly. And that convoluted plan to get Sally to sell the house, all completed in a couple of hours!! Just ridiculous.

JamieLeeCurtains · 04/11/2020 22:24

I can see exactly where this tedious story will go.

Abi overhears Debbie and Ray plotting.

Abi tells Kev. Kev does his confused thinking face.

Debbie says 'don't listen to her, she's a druggie and an alkie'.

Kev and Abi split up. Again.

Abi gets some crap proof.

Kev and Abi get back together. Again.

Sally gets out the garibaldis.

Akire · 04/11/2020 23:03

To be fair I did laugh few times tonight. Poor Emma she probably get life now and be in cell next to Yasmin before you can say slop out.

Excellent forecast Jamie, you missed the break up get drunk use drugs get rescued by Peter then get back with Kevin part Wink

I think Fay’s BF was made up by Argh what’s his name policeman. So he can come to the rescue. They do make a good couple.

The big business storyline is annoying because it’s very unlikely that Corrie will knock down half the set so it’s a no go story.

nildesparandum · 05/11/2020 00:09

Emma annoys me as well. She stands behind the bar doing nothing in particular apart from constantly staring.

JamieLeeCurtains · 05/11/2020 00:24

About this £5,000 cash. How was that ever transferred to a solicitor?

No reputable solicitor would accept that amount of cash. Or did I miss the episode where Emma and Steve suddenly became cunningly adept money launderers?

Roussette · 05/11/2020 07:02

The distancing in the garden was amusing. One person stood by the shed, one sat on a chair, one stood by back door etc.

Found it odd that Annie Lennox could wind up Geoff like that, thought he was a bit more intelligent than that and surely he barely knows her?

Smallsteps88 · 05/11/2020 08:32

The big business storyline is annoying because it’s very unlikely that Corrie will knock down half the set so it’s a no go story.

Exactly. They only built the new set a couple of years ago. And spent a fortune on it so it won’t be going anywhere

Smallsteps88 · 05/11/2020 08:36

Me too. She always looks as if shes peed her pants and doesn’t know what to do so just carries on talking and trying to hide it Grin
eggandonion · 05/11/2020 09:13

I think they could use Emma more, I still think she and Craig should be an item. Seb is the only current available young man, unless he is still involved with Alina, I can't remember if they split up.
Emma should channel her inner Fiona, she wasn't lacking in self esteem.

DahliaMacNamara · 05/11/2020 10:08

When Sean was in a scene with Dylan last night, it felt as if he was rehearsing his lines in an empty room, not having a conversation. I didn't get the same kind of vibe when he was discussing it with Eileen later.

Clawdy · 05/11/2020 11:23

Dylan is a better actor than Sean. Mind you, most people are. His mincing and flouncing has become ridiculous, like someone in a pantomime.

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 05/11/2020 11:27

I wonder if Sean's 'wooden-ness' with Dylan is just because they are new to working together so there isn't the chemistry there is between him and Eileen. Of course you could argue that a good actor can fake that chemistry from the off. I would agree with you

Im re-watching The Tudors again and Nick is in it Grin

Almost expect her to have a gun holster with her Clint Eastwood get up

Where is Mary to support Dev and talk to Asda

Clawdy · 05/11/2020 11:38

And as if Dev would be yelling about his daughter's sex life in the middle of the street !! Shock
