Old thread full, so here we go again.

Going back to the last point on the old thread, I agree that they’re writing well for Tracy now. She’s still got her hard side, but they’ve made her caring in a straight talking way, rather than just a full-on bitch.

Dev is a crap father. Taking it personally that his dd (ie his property) wants to have sex with her boyfriend, and rather than talking sensitively to her about it in private, he shouts at them both in the street. Then planning a day with his son and forgetting to turn up. He is a disgrace. I didn't like Emma much at first but i love her now, i don't understand though how she could be charged with money laundering, surely it would be handling stolen goods?

excelledyourself · 06/11/2020 13:24

It didn't even come across like he did forget to turn up - just that he didn't bother. Not so much as a phone call to Aadi.

bloodyhairy · 06/11/2020 13:34

The dynamic between Dev and his kids is really weird. The three just don't seem to like each other very much!

eggandonion · 06/11/2020 13:42

So will we bring back Amber to sort home out? Did she ever have a baby with Steve...

Roussette · 06/11/2020 17:22

Dev handles his children appallingly. He does this doe eyed poor me I'm trying my best thing the whole time. But he's crap. He shows up his daughter continually, ignores his son, which means the kids are at loggerheads dobbing each other in...
Basically he is everything a parent should not be.

eggandonion · 06/11/2020 17:32

Mary seems to have no input any more, she was good with them.

Roussette · 06/11/2020 19:02

She was like Nanny Jo Frost Grin

Housewife2010 · 06/11/2020 19:54

Annie Lennox is wearing that jumper again.

Roussette · 06/11/2020 19:57

Lolol... my DH has just said... (and bear in mind he does not engage with Corrie much)
"Why is everyone in prison?"

eggandonion · 06/11/2020 20:14

My kids in a mumsnet way used to guess the names of badly behaved kids on super nanny.
That's a fab jumper, its like something my dh would buy me for Christmas if a daughter wasn't with him.

Housewife2010 · 06/11/2020 20:24

Annie Lennox's jumper for the Christmas episode.

They definitely need Mary back!

Smallsteps88 · 06/11/2020 20:56

A hotel!? On coronation street? Confused I thought Ray was a businessman? What planet is he on thinking he’d have any worthwhile trade on a residential street in weatherfield? Never mind getting planning permission. It would never ever happen. What a bonkers storyline. Do they not even think this stuff through?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 06/11/2020 21:02

What?

Has there been another episode?

Hell's teeth - there seems to be about 184 a week.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 06/11/2020 21:03

What a bonkers storyline. Do they not even think this stuff through?

I think we all know the answer to that.

Smallsteps88 · 06/11/2020 21:06

There are loads of episodes now @SchadenfreudePersonified! Two on some nights. I get confused by having the half hour in between them.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 06/11/2020 21:14

Bugger!

I've just started re-watching and I appear to have missed 70 episodes in the space 2 days . . .

Smallsteps88 · 06/11/2020 21:15
Grin
eggandonion · 06/11/2020 21:18

It doesn't really matter if you miss episodes. It used to matter, but there is no actual need to watch about ninety percent of the stuff.

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 06/11/2020 21:20

I watched the episodes in the wrong order last week. I don't think most of the storyline make sense anyway so it didn't matter Grin

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 06/11/2020 21:36

I really felt for Nick tonight. :(

Akire · 06/11/2020 22:01

The hospital was done well for Leanne. Least 70% less screeching and shouting that I was expecting.

I’m guessing land is expensive so no more prime positions are available. Maybe they can potter over in their fluffy slippers for breakfast in the bistro?

The baby story is getting boring. Surely after initial shock you just either accept it or say I need DNA test. You don’t go on and on and on and on and on and on about don’t know if I can trust you. They don’t seem to be paying footballers v much when it’s £300 for two tickets. He’s still living in presumable the box room of his parents house.

Any guesses what Sean’s amazing life changing transformation will be?

DahliaMacNamara · 06/11/2020 22:49

Poor Asha. Suddenly Creepy Corey has got Big D on board, and reckons that's the green light to get her into bed, now that she's been all proactive getting herself on the pill.

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 06/11/2020 22:57

Was it Corey who got Amy pregnant?

Clawdy · 06/11/2020 23:00

Why does Corey look about twenty-five?
