Wow. Fridays night and the death And murder of Chantelle 😢😢

That was moving and horrendous to watch while gray plans his alibi of her death With

In some ways she will silly to taunt him. And she should have left a message on Khareet phone instead of ringing it lots when went to ansa machine

She should have said she was leaving gray. She loved Khareet and last message was a ploy As gray found out

Then gray will be done for murder

All the other plot lines form previous thread have been sorted

Nice to have ee back after the break

Kheerat is indeed beautiful and when he takes that turban off he will have long flowing shiny dark hair which only increases the attractiveness!!

Emeraldshamrock · 19/09/2020 14:39

Absolutely heartbreaking storyline I'll miss Chantelle it took her awhile to get going now she will be missed.

Alongcameacat · 19/09/2020 14:48

when he takes that turban off he will have long flowing shiny dark hair He has short thick hair irl. Have a look on his Istagram page. He still looks good👍🏻

Smallsteps88 · 19/09/2020 15:18

Thanks for the new thread @Blondeshavemorefun.

I was hoping Chantelle would use some sort of coded phrase in her voicemail to Kheerat to let him know she was in trouble. I don’t think she did though.

Thanks for the new thread, @Blondeshavemorefun !

nancy75 · 19/09/2020 16:05

Kheerat has the box she asked him to get & he obviously knows something was very wrong, I’m sure he will either go to the police or to Mitch. In earlier episodes Chantelle went to the hospital & the nurse gave her a card for a domestic abuse helpline - in cases like this would the police check for old injuries (In silent Witness they would but I don’t think that’s real!)

BenoneBeauty · 19/09/2020 16:15

I haven't watched the episode yet - not sure I can but devastated that Chantelle has been killed and won't be in it any longer.

Alongcameacat · 19/09/2020 16:15

I don’t know if the hospital records would be looked for unless they suspect abuse and if she gave her real name in the hospital?

I thought if someone is murdered the police assume it is their partner/ex partner? It usually is isn’t it? Mitch knew she wasn’t happy and maybe he will try to make Grey confess so he does right by Chantelle in the end? Did she have a bag hidden in the cistern too at one point? Will someone find that and know?

nancy75 · 19/09/2020 16:17

The bag in the loo had the money in it, he found that last night & threw it away I think

Alongcameacat · 19/09/2020 16:22

How did he find it?

FlowerOfTheValley · 19/09/2020 16:23

If watching that storyline and the terrible outcome helps just one person to leave an abusive relationship then the story will have been worth it.

It was well done and brilliantly acted although I did find some of the other Gray abuse scenes more powerful - the bath scene and a time when he beat her up. The actress playing Chantelle does convey her fear so well.

I did initially think it would have been more effective if he had deliberately killed her rather than it being unfortunate with the dishwasher. Fortunately, they did then make Gray totally culpable by him not calling the ambulance. Although it was arguable at first if he had intended to kill her his walking away and buying the glass milk bottle then made it clear at least by then her death could not be called an accident.

Furthermore by the initial push probably not being intended to kill her at that stage it did send out a message that the abuser may often claim he didn’t mean it but the effect is the same. A push, shove, punch in the wrong place can have fatal consequences.

Chantelle did also say to Gray when she stood up to him at the end and said what she really thinks that she wished she had left earlier. A very clear message to get out while you can.

Emeraldshamrock · 19/09/2020 16:24

I hope she didn't disconnect the voicemail call and it is all recorded.
The nurse was suspicious when she broke her wrist I'm sure it was noted.
It is good to have EE back.

Smallsteps88 · 19/09/2020 16:27

Does anyone know if nurses/hospital staff make any sort of note on the patients record that they suspect DV or gave the patient a DV helpline number?

FlowerOfTheValley · 19/09/2020 16:28

I also think that Gray will play the grieving husband very convincingly and get a lot of sympathy before, hopefully, the pieces start being put together to paint the true picture.

Also agree with the posters who’ve predicted that he will take up with Whitney and repeat the cycle. I suppose it depends on how long the writers intend to keep Gray in it for before he gets his comeuppance. Not a spoiler but most “villains” get caught out in the end.

nancy75 · 19/09/2020 16:30

Alongcameacat Chantelle had taken the money with her, it was in the suitcase

Alongcameacat · 19/09/2020 16:32

Who would take the kids then if Grey is caught? Presumably Mitch and Karen?

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/09/2020 17:18

@SpanishFly

Ding dong Kheerat Blush

Rafflesway · 19/09/2020 17:43

Crikey, gorgeous photo of Kheerat!

He and Chantelle would have made stunning babies.☹️

gingercat02 · 19/09/2020 18:03

alongcameacat not necessarily. Family friend I mentioned before was stabbed to death in the bath by her OH. His family got custody of their toddler daughter as the courts assumed her family would be reluctant to facilitate contact with child and murderer father while he was in prison

AlohaMolly · 19/09/2020 18:04

I wonder if there will be less ‘fluff/filler’ storylines for a while? Do you think they’re limited to how many people they can have on set at one time so they’ll just have the meatier storylines?

AlohaMolly · 19/09/2020 18:05

ginger god that’s awful. I know it was neither set of GPs fault obviously, but what a double whammy to the victim’s parents Sad

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 19/09/2020 19:41

I wonder if that box contains a diary or anything else relating to what she went through. I really hope we don’t have to wait for justice - he will def get found out but with popular stories the writers can drag things out

SinisterBumFacedCat · 19/09/2020 20:24

Marking my place, last night was dark Sad
