Wow. Fridays night and the death And murder of Chantelle 😢😢

That was moving and horrendous to watch while gray plans his alibi of her death With

In some ways she will silly to taunt him. And she should have left a message on Khareet phone instead of ringing it lots when went to ansa machine

She should have said she was leaving gray. She loved Khareet and last message was a ploy As gray found out

Then gray will be done for murder

All the other plot lines form previous thread have been sorted

Nice to have ee back after the break

Ruby had millions didn't she?

birthdaybelle · 22/09/2020 23:29

And they didn't feel it necessary to let Arthur and the girls see each other 😕 crap episode

excelledyourself · 22/09/2020 23:31

I'm a bit confused by Ruby's finances. I thought she was loaded, but the other night, she told Whitney she was skint. Then tonight she told Stacey she would hire the best legal team money could buy. I guess her definition of "skint" is probably a million miles from mine though.

Smallsteps88 · 22/09/2020 23:35

Yeah I was confused too. Yesterday she told Martin she couldn’t afford to take Arthur to Southend (or somewhere?) for a day out and now she had money for the best legal team ever? Confused

excelledyourself · 22/09/2020 23:36

The soaps seem to be handling the kid situations different.

There's been no young kids in Corrie, only the teens and a freaky still shot of Oliver. And I think Emmerdale is similar - no Johnny, Moses, or even Arthur.

But Easties has had Lexi, Hope, Mia and Mac, at least.

Smallsteps88 · 22/09/2020 23:45

I think EE have done a brilliant job of filming under SD guidelines. In both other soaps I am really aware of the distances between actors but in EE it isn’t noticeable most of the time. Unless maybe they aren’t doing it? But surely they must be? I did say that Karen not being held back or hugged by billy or Mitch was odd but apart from that I haven’t been aware of obvious SDing.

excelledyourself · 22/09/2020 23:47

I missed the episode where Chantelle's death was revealed, and it doesn't seem to be on iPlayer yet.

"Missed" seems the wrong word...

excelledyourself · 22/09/2020 23:49

That's true @Smallsteps88. Can't say I've noticed it in Eastenders, but that might just be that I've not seen as many episodes (or that I've not been on this thread!)

Chienloup · 23/09/2020 02:16

@Fiddlersgreen

I think they said Bailey was staying with an aunt or someone? I don’t know why
Ahhh, thank you.
SheeplessinSeattle · 23/09/2020 06:22

I've noticed the SD on Eastenders but I've been looking. The Gray/ Chantelle making her down herself, Martin and Hope at opposite sides of the table, grieving Karen. That said, I think they've done brilliantly and it hadn't spoiled my enjoyment one bit. Just hoping the can keep filming through winter. I too didn't realise how much I missed it until it came back.

AlohaMolly · 23/09/2020 08:59

I’m only watching last nights now, but staceys audio does sound weird. They have to put the mics on themselves now though, so maybe that explains it?

Also, I wonder if the parents of some child actors aren’t keen - I don’t know if this is ok to say, but some of the BAME characters’ families might be a bit reluctant to expose their childrenthemselves like that?

lazymum99 · 23/09/2020 09:21

Stacey walked out on Martin and now having a go at him. She also had to leave coz of hitting Phil over the head. Martin stayed and sorted that and Stacey got a new man.
Hope is Martin’s daughter there is no way that he would have not seen her for a year. If he made the effort he could have done. I think Arthur went to stay with Stacey for a bit. Where in the UK has Stacey been? Probably Watford. Far too far to visit 😁

dogsdinnerlady · 23/09/2020 09:38

Surely a death on the Square would be a talking point among everyone. If Stacey had the money transferred to another account there would be a way for the bank to trace where it went.

lazymum99 · 23/09/2020 09:44

When there are any odd transactions in bank account or credit card which you say are not you it gets reported to their fraud department and the cards/accounts are blocked and new ones issued. I’d PIN has been compromised that is changed. No one but no one just sits there watching money disappear out of their account.
This story line is treating us like idiots.
Rant over.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/09/2020 10:48

Agree money story is silly

How rich is she

And yes the bank would have stopped the first time

New head children. Wonder if an age thing

I thought the SD was v obvious in the first episode but haven't noticed it much since. The first episode was trying so hard that it became too obvious in the end. Like - the fuzzy distanced hand holding, and background couples hugging all over the square except for the main characters who were all metres apart. It was bizarre.

rubydoobydoo · 23/09/2020 23:28

The silliest social distancing scene was in the first episode where Callum arrested someone without actually touching him - the bloke had been running away but as soon as he was told he was under arrest he just stood compliantly against the car!

SpanishFly · 24/09/2020 08:04

Yes that whole scene was ridiculous. Abd there were a few people in the scene, which made it even more obvious that they were all standing apart.

I'm also loving the caff's one way system 😅
It just highlights what a tiny set it us, when you see it in that way

BanalAnal · 24/09/2020 11:07

@excelledyourself

I missed the episode where Chantelle's death was revealed, and it doesn't seem to be on iPlayer yet.

"Missed" seems the wrong word...

I'm not sure it was revealed as such ? Unless I missed something ?
Friday night was murder
Monday night everyone seemed to know ?

Did I miss something too?

excelledyourself · 24/09/2020 11:44

@BanalAnal

I mean Karen and Mitch finding out. I missed that.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/09/2020 11:48

I watched the two episodes on Catch-Up ....and had to re-watch Tuesday because I kept falling asleep Blush

The scene where Karen hgs Grey , I was looking intently ( that's a mannequin isn't it ? )

Stacey is such a cow and Lily .................Hmm

Amy and the teacher ( ?Billy , cannot remember ) will they try to build something there ?
I am no fonder of Lexi than I was before lockdown (though I'm sure the actress is lovely)

Keerhat swapped his turban for a black headcovering , looked like a pirate (though a very nice one ) . Is that a mourning item?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/09/2020 11:50

I mean Karen and Mitch finding out. I missed that

Grey in custody was asking "Do the family know" then you saw the car pull up and Karen sees the house covered in Police barriers , .

BanalAnal · 24/09/2020 11:56

Got it. Glad I didn't miss a stealth late night episode !

SoupDragon · 24/09/2020 12:03

When did Stacey turn into a total bitch? New Lily seems a bit more, um, feisty than the old one (but does look just like A young Stacey!)

Mrsjayy · 24/09/2020 12:33

Yeah I was confused too. Yesterday she told Martin she couldn’t afford to take Arthur to Southend (or somewhere?) for a day out and now she had money for the best legal team ever? confused

South Bank they were going on a boat and the aquarium stupid episode have the writers got lockdown brainHmm
