Wow. Fridays night and the death And murder of Chantelle 😢😢

That was moving and horrendous to watch while gray plans his alibi of her death With

In some ways she will silly to taunt him. And she should have left a message on Khareet phone instead of ringing it lots when went to ansa machine

She should have said she was leaving gray. She loved Khareet and last message was a ploy As gray found out

Then gray will be done for murder

All the other plot lines form previous thread have been sorted

Nice to have ee back after the break

It's sad that Gray is such a huge baddie as he is so nice looking! I wished he was a nice character.

SewingBeeAddict · 30/10/2020 22:03

Yep agree its lazy and for the duff duffs.
Deal with issues properly if they are being highlighted in major storylines.
Chantelle had several injuries including a broken arm.
Her children would have heard their arguments.
They are not showing the consequences to the children or her family and of course Gray.
This type of thing used to be dealt with far more responsibly -Shakils death and the issues of knife crime for example.

I find it interesting that they can’t show couples being affectionate, families being close and supportive, normal interactions because of covid and social distancing but they manage to find a way to show horrific violence. What we saw happening to Stacey last week (or this week?) was really gruesome IMO. Too much tbh.

the80sweregreat · 30/10/2020 22:17

I'm real life Chantelle would have told Karen or Mitch. Or she would have called women's aid.

SoupDragon · 30/10/2020 22:40

I don't think it's true that she would have told her parents - I think it was realistic in that point. I thought she did ring a refuge though.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 30/10/2020 23:29

Meanwhile Suki is really trying to cement herself as a top notch arse by becoming a HMO Landlord.

Smallsteps88 · 30/10/2020 23:38

Well she’s already a slum landlord as Jags was saying the houses they let were shoddy and damp etc and he was refusing to collect rent for her anymore.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 31/10/2020 12:15

I don't want to state the obvious but Is it not illegal to just tell someone to vacate a property within a week. Don't you need a court order. I assume that applies bet or no bet.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 31/10/2020 12:18

Chantelle not getting justice has been a disgraceful sickening disservice to victims and survivors of domestic violence. Also they need better police and forensics if they can't see that it wasn't accidental. Angry

She did call womens aid .

Mrsjayy · 31/10/2020 13:14

I don't think suki cares much for the law she is not the best landlord is she .

Smallsteps88 · 31/10/2020 14:25

Yep the law would apply here and even if the law decided that a bet was a legal contract, it was a bet made in an illegal poker game on premises not licensed for gambling and made with a known gambling addict which I’m sure would make him a vulnerable person incapable of making the bet.

I wish soaps didn’t just ignore things like tenants rights and benefit incomes etc. It’s very irritating and makes their storylines a load of rubbish.

the80sweregreat · 31/10/2020 14:40

I didn't watch any of the Chantelle story line so I wasn't aware she had called someone for help! Sorry.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 31/10/2020 14:50

I know they're only little kids (Mac and Mia) but I don't think the writers are portraying them in a proper light. I'd have been beyond inconsolable had anything happened to my mum or dad at that age.

iknowimcoming · 31/10/2020 17:56

I'm no expert but I have known a few children who've lost parents and their grief was sporadic and in between they appeared 'normal' they craved routine and 'normality' such as getting back to school etc so I don't have an issue with that so far.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 31/10/2020 19:07

Once SuperSonia gets wind of their plight ( I'm just thinking how she is related because they all are ........ Sonia+Martin were married Martin is Hope's Dad and Hope will be evicted with The Slaters )

Yes Sonia will volunteer Legal Eagle Grey ( because since he won Whitney's case he's a bit thin on work) and she can pay with her Car Money so absolving herself of guilt from accepting it .

Mrsjayy · 31/10/2020 19:26

I don't understand the whole car/Shirley/stealing/selling thing it was just weird and confusing

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 31/10/2020 20:04

Did anyone else feel uncomfortable when Honey was asked about her alcohol intake prior to her attack. WTF does that have to do with anything.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 31/10/2020 20:05

Would Sonia be allowed to accept a gift from a patient.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 31/10/2020 20:16

Would Sonia be allowed to accept a gift from a patient

Absolutely not but when did EE let the truth get in the way Grin

I'm an NHS body , we are allowed to accept a token gratuity (chocolates etc) but we have to fill in a Compliments Slip (as we're eating the evidence)

Anything over £20 needs to be declared and money declined (politely)

A car ................. noooooo Halloween Grin
