This is, obviously, the proposed title for my thesis in support of my Diploma in Expertness . . .

Me too! Looks explosive!
Also looks like a weird amount of glittery/sequiny dinner jackets on the blokes!

Destinysdaughter · 18/09/2020 21:31

Oh wow the next episode is UNBELIEVABLE. I want you all to be watching it with me now!!

GlummyMcGlummerson · 18/09/2020 21:38

Why is Young Sean suddenly a weird colour at the dinner party?! Do you remember when you used to get camera films developed at Max Spielman's and sometimes the colour of a whole photo would be off? From the preview that's what Young Sean looks like. Gold jacket, orange skin, white hair.

RedCatBlueCat · 18/09/2020 21:48

I'm watching behind you lot.
Do you think Charlene and Melissa both had two speeches. So a "you're great" bit, "however, here are the bad bits" and then a "yes" and and "no" depending on how the guys vows went?

happinessischocolate · 18/09/2020 21:50

Ohh Monday's episode looks good, however I can't believe that clip of Davina and Tracey, is Tracey really still playing the victim with Davina, she doesn't care Tracey, literally doesn't give a flying fuck about you. And if anything you should have thanked her, without her you would have fallen for his BS and you'd have yes believing you were going to live happy ever after .

Ashley definitely changed hers. She looked so angry when Troy was saying his bit, whereas she should have looked relieved that he was walking away too.
LewisFan · 18/09/2020 21:59

@GlummyMcGlummerson

I think, and have always thought, Troy is revolting. She did well to stick by him. I actually found him quite predatory. I hate that when they had their final date he launched himself at Ash and sulked when she said no. Also on their honeymoon, what made her say "dude you're coming on too strong" was the fact that she looked away and he grabbed her face and practically swallowed her head.

It annoys me they painted Ash to be unreasonable for being this way. And it annoys me that her sister has said she has to go for a nice guy like Ash is some over the hill desperado. She can do FAR better than Troy

This. A thousand times this!
Benjispruce2 · 18/09/2020 22:02

Wow, so pleased Ash and Troy saw the light. Glad Sarah’s brother told her how it is. Lovely to hear John share his feelings.

SillyCow6 · 18/09/2020 22:14

Sorry does anyone have the link again to watch them all please?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/09/2020 22:22

Ashley definitely changed hers. She looked so angry when Troy was saying his bit, whereas she should have looked relieved that he was walking away too.

That was the impression I got, too - that her family talked her into this "good bloke" but that thank heavens) because he went first with his mean little litany of all her faults, she thought on her feet and turned it back on him

I also think that he hadn't expected that at all and was expecting her to have said "continue" - he looked momentarily pee'd - one of those micro expressions (he seems prone to them) that flashed across his face before he had a chance to stop it - then suddenly he was all "good guy" again and hugging etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if the production team had told him she had said she wanted to continue the relationship. He took the chance to give her a kick and it rebounded on him.

I've just realised who's laugh Troy reminds me of.....

Goofy.

And it drives me bananas

Honeyroar · 18/09/2020 23:15

I thought Tel was going to ditch Sarah (so did she!).

Ash looks better with her mouth closed. Her teeth are so whitened they’re practically reflective. Troy is incredibly testing, but she annoyed me too. She should’ve just walked away like anyone with any sense would’ve done. She enjoyed the nagging, I think! They could’ve been one of those old married couples that fight non stop, but love each other underneath (jack and Vera from Corrie..)

Do you think these people get an extra $10 for saying “has my back” or other buzz words??

Benjispruce2 · 19/09/2020 06:27

Far out!

Fanacapan · 19/09/2020 08:24

I end up screaming at the telly every time - ‘they’re only there to be on tv!’ Especially Ashley and Tracy, probably Dean and Troy too.

Verdita73 · 19/09/2020 08:46

@BloggersBlog - bet he is so far up his manager's backside in his job that he's looking through the same eyes
Love this ! May , with your consent , use it myself , but not on Mumsnet , of course .Grin

Frazzled2207 · 19/09/2020 09:38

Finally caught up.
Of all the couples I think Telv and Sarah LOOK the most couply- he is clearly besotted with her. And broadly I think he is very likeable, though not as much as Patrick.
But she is so high maintenance and controlling- to expect him to move from Perth immediately is so unrealistic- I can’t see it working out sadly.

Can’t see the other couples working out either. John is just too set in his ways and won’t move. And although Patrick and Charlene are in many ways great it’s clear she doesn’t fancy him.

ClaudiaAndTheCauldron · 19/09/2020 09:56

Does anyone know why Telv has to be the one to move and not Sarah? He has children and surely it would be more difficult to see them with a longer distance?

Benjispruce2 · 19/09/2020 10:21

Perth to Melbourne is a long way!

Frazzled2207 · 19/09/2020 10:22

Telv is from Melbourne and I think quite open to the idea of moving back before Sarah came on the scene. Possibly his kids are there but he has been very quiet about that (as has Sarah about possibly becoming stepmum)

Doesn't he just. He looks like he adores her. He is such a sweetie.

Italiangreyhound · 19/09/2020 11:17

Do people think Ash changed her mind.

Egghead68 · 19/09/2020 11:49

I don’t think she was ever into Troy (not that anyone could blame her!) I think she wanted him to want her though.

Sertchgi123 · 19/09/2020 11:53

@Italiangreyhound

Do people think Ash changed her mind.
The way the scenes were edited suggests she had come around to staying with Troy. However, all through the show she's not had "the butterflies" and she's found him extremely irritating. Therefore, it's hard to believe she was going to say stay.
happinessischocolate · 19/09/2020 12:15

As pp said he's planning on doing the move anyway, but any time Sarah complains I just think well go and move in with him for the next 2 months then whilst he sorts out the move

Whilst I understand her fear that they'll lose their connection, surely if they are right for each other then the time apart will not affect them. And whilst she says she's 40 and running out of time what's another couple of months in the scheme of things.

They are very, when it's good it's amazing but when it's not it's the absolute pits, and I can't see them lasting.

ellenanora5 · 19/09/2020 12:23

Finally caught up with you all.

I never liked Troy or Ashley and I don't think they were well matched at all, he is creepy and constantly pawing at her, even when they were packing to leave the apartment he was at it, she wasn't into him at all, and his farewell speech was not very nice at all, he just listed all her faults.

Thankfully Sarahs brother pointed out what we've all been saying about the move to Melbourne and I'm glad she listened to him, out of all the couples who stayed together I was rooting for them the most.

I think Tracey played along all the time and had no intentions of staying with Dean, nearly every episode centered around the them and they got more exposure than anyone else and that was what she wanted, it was beginning to remind me of the whole Ross and Rachel saga in Friends and I couldn't have cared less by the end.

Looking forward to the dinner party and the reunion show but I don't think I could watch another series of MAFS I'd be absolutely exhausted Grin
