This is, obviously, the proposed title for my thesis in support of my Diploma in Expertness . . .

I can't wait for the S6 thread!!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 23/09/2020 21:38

So when do we start watching, people?

OP posts:

The Eaus would love to watch S6 Aus, but aren't terribly technical. Sorry if it's already been explained, but can anyone kindly explain how we do it please?
Not sure if it's relevant, but we've got Sky, Freeview and a smart TV where we could maybe do internet watching or something? I realise that sounds a bit Alan Partridge - we'd be watching from the Oasthouse!Grin
We were quite bereft at 7.30 tonight. Had to have a bubble bath instead. No sixyness to report.

@SchadenfreudePersonified

I thought God was a bit dubious about coveting the neighbour's wife, Dean grin* What a tool. And I mean that with love and peace.

I am a licensed minister in the C of E, and while God rarely asks my advice, She does offer me the occasionally gossipy comment, and when I asked Her about this, She said that Dean-o (She thinks that "Thumbface" is a cruel nickname, and reminds method he is made in Her image, so to watch my step) anyway-where was I? Oh yes, Dean-o is a lying piece of misogynistic poo and she's sick of him blaming all his mistakes and bad behaviour on Her.

She's reminded him that his actions are his own responsibility (more than one), but he refuses to accept that the horrible things he does are his own fault.

I am genuinely hoping that you are a Rev!
SchadenfreudePersonified · 23/09/2020 22:27

Alas, Lewis, I am not a Rev. Revs are ordained ministers.

I am a Reader, which is a licensed minister. I can (and do) do everything a rev does except consecrate the sacrement* (though I don't do weddings or baptisms either, though I think with the appropriate licenses I probably could - some services have to be licensed separately ie funerals and communion services), so if I lead a eucharistic service, I have to carry out what is called Communion by Extension - I attend a service led by an ordained priest, and take consecrated elements directly from that service to the one I am leading and distribute those elements. The service I lead is considered to be part of the earlier service.

But yes - I lead worship, preach, and the million other things a priest does - during our last interregnum I had a year and a half of two services a week, plus schools, plus home communion and funerals, plus home communions, old people's homes etc as well as the pastoral outreach etc - so I hope I'm not too much of a disappointment, even though I'm not a rev.Grin

I’m ready on shvideos for season six - hopefully all about ‘Aussie six’ . I think one of our great leaders should start the thread . Sits drumming fingers in anticipation for long convoluted thread title .Grin

If you got your license you could marry all the couples on yours and Rinder show. Save a few more Bob on paying someone else to do it.

I am on for season 6 too. Looking forward to finding out about 'snack' When shall we start? Please don't say tomo, I foolishly thought a uni course would be a grand way to pass the winter and will be on a zoom call from 6pm to 10pm tomo.

Lifelong bond formed here. We'll have to hope they keep churning out new seasons.

MissMarplesHandbag · 24/09/2020 02:38

Have we decided on S6 MAFS AUS?
I’m going to crack on tomorrow - start about 12 noon finish about 3 am, having done nothing else, despite lots of other worthwhile plans.....

So glad it's not just us, lol! In my defence, computer studies at school was 6 girls watching 1 PC and I'm pretty sure I was looking out the window thinking all this wouldn't catch on! We'll give it a go, thanks for the links, lovelies. So impressed you're Godly Schady, I knew you were special. A chosen one if you will, to lead us through these dark nights drawing in.

Just wondered if there was any way of getting subtitles on the link for series 6.....

There are VERY strict acceptance criteria Margus

Are you prepared to spend hours sitting front of the telly shouting abuse while typing furiously.

Will you abandon some, husband, child and even GIN if necessary to fulfill your obligations?

Is there no aspect of anyone behaviour or appearance you are not prepared to criticise unreservedly?

If these apply - WELCOME TO THE TEAM!

(Your Badger Badge is in the post Grin)

You must also be prepared for a tsunami of typos . . .

I love a good sweary godmother Schady. I'm available and willing to accept godchild gifts- beauty advent calendars are most appropriate. Or money. Lots.

Stuffofawesome · 24/09/2020 11:14

Who is going to start a new thread?

Margsus · 24/09/2020 11:34

Schaden all your criteria were met by the end of episode 1! I wait with bated breath for my badge.

Margsus · 24/09/2020 11:38

......and Mr Marg has confirmed that there is no behaviour or appearance that I’m not prepared to criticise! 😂😂

SchadenfreudePersonified · 24/09/2020 13:16

Bless you, Margsus!

You are exactly the right sort of person for this!

Can I ask someone else to start a new thread, please, when it is necessary, as I am not sure that I will be able to simultaneously access MAFS series 6 AND MN.

This may take a bit of trial and error for me . . .

'Tis only a temporary gin abandonment Bloggers, just until after the programme is finished (autocorrect is bad enough when people are sober) - and anyway, you have proven yourself in the field.

You may stay.
