Is anyone still here?

I feel like I’ve been watching you all strolling a few hundred metres in front of me and I’ve been running and running to catch up but now that I’m here you’ve all moved on. Story of my life!

I’ve been reading the threads as I’ve been watching and of course was desperate to comment several times but was worried I’d see spoilers.

I am completely gobsmacked by Davina. Gobsmacked. How brazen is she? To play the victim and almost act like a single woman glad to dodge the bullet of Dean and look to others for support in that?! Never seen anything like it. Dean was awful but she was just something else entirely.

I can completely see why Tracey wanted closure at that last dinner party (although my opinion has changed slightly now I know about the texts!!). Davina had never even really acknowledged she’d done anything wrong and Tracey needed that from her. The constant playing dumb and ‘I’m so confused’ just enraged me.

I thought Patrick looked a broken man at the finale.

I've just watched the final episode again as my dd wanted to watch and I hadn't waited for her when it was on 😁

Davina makes my angry because she deprived us of the lovely Ryan, the experts should have matched him up with Alycia after Davina fucked up.

Tracey was wasting her time trying to have a go at Davina, and Davina probably has lots of experience of being accused of stuff so Tracey was never going to win the argument. She obviously now looks a tad silly too when it turns out she has no moral high ground as she's messing around behind Sean's back.

I think Patrick, like Sarah, put too much emphasis on trying to get their spouse to fall completely and utterly in love before the end of the experiment. Charlene and Telv would have been a fab match both saw it as the beginning of a relationship, not the beginning, middle and end.

I miss them, I don't miss Troy though and can't believe Carly stayed with him for 9 months 😲

I agree Patrick looked a bit done for at the end and Davina was really exposed as an awful fake crying selfish snake!

Meeeee. I just finished series 5 yesterday. Finally caught up. I cried when Patrick and Charlene stayed together. Then again when Sarah and Telv stayed together.

Only to then watch the final commitment come together. Why did Patrick just ignore Charlene after it ended? Did anyone find out?

Tracey and Sean - bleurgh. Even I felt a bit sorry for Dean at the end, no idea why really, as he was a twat. But Tracey had clearly been sexting him and left him to take the flack. Again. I wont be watching series 6 unless it hits E4 again I dont think, im all MAF'd out for now

Might be wrong, but I thought the Patrick and Charlene thing was that post filming, they had nothing to say to each other and hadn't seen each other. I was sad about that one, as I thought they were both lovely people, but clearly not meant for each other in the end!

Yes, you're right of course. It's weird though, they seemed to be well matched and quite loved up at times. BUT in the later episodes, she was shown as refusing to kiss him, they'd never progressed to "intimacy" (*grim, thanks experts!), telling him he talked about his feelings too much and generally being critical of him. Charlene's vows at the end were dire - one long list of things he wasn't enough of! So I reckon he could be forgiven for giving up, it was clear she just didn't fancy him or want to be with him.
What's not fair is if he did ghost her, nobody deserves that.

He really was like a love sick puppy wasnt he She didnt come across so well with how she rejected him constantly so I def dont blame him for giving up. But def the ghosting thing after they'd both said yes was weird. Not that she seemed massively bothered mind

I wonder if any of the couples get pressured into saying yes at the end? At the beginning, I thought Patrick and Charlene were fab together and had high hopes for them.
So yes, ghosting at the end is really odd, but odder still was for them both to say yes when he knew she wasn't into him and she knew she didn't fancy him at all...! Maybe there's a cash bonus at the end if you say yes!!
