@YourVagesty

Next time somebody makes a thread, can we have the words 'Sixty tixting' in the title please? Grin

Also, how awful is it for Tracey that not only did TF offer her up, but shes had to sit there and hear across the dinner table, from multiple people, that nobody wanted her Confused

Seconded!

Sixty Tixting and Badger Badges please Smile

@RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder

And I want my Charlene t-shirt to be a Charlene wedding dress
I loved Charlene’s wedding dress too .

So much more sophisticated than the frou-frou meringues that some of the other women wore - possibly an indication of a more mature woman . ( Braces self against howls of rage from mature sophisticated women who wore meringues at their weddings ☹️ ) .

However , I thought the Indian hair furniture was the best part of the ensemble . I still recall how she looked but have forgotten many of the other concoctions . Grin

*Badger badges, not badge badges

I swear to God autocorrect, this WILL stop! Angry

I’ve sent off for a badger badge and a tee-shirt . I’m not fussy about the name but I hope there won’t be too much of a delay in the post . I can see both items selling out fast so I hope you’re ready with a second edition . Wink

Love Charlene! She really knew exactly what had gone on, and there was no backing down she was fab! Dean tried to twist her words minimise ridicule her, but she was having none of it, was great tv!! Then it cuts to Tracy draped all over him really? That giwl ( Aussie accent) has major issues.
Troy was protesting too loudly, glad Charlene and Sarah put him back in his place
As for disgustin Justin ,
I thought last night he was worse than Dean The “I’m divorced 41 and I travel “ ??? Like him there are no words to describe how awful he is.
And Gabrielle please leave and stop thanking that gnarled gnome Nasar for rubbing your back, leave with some dignity woman!

Verdita73 · 11/09/2020 09:51

@Eaumyword

Great episode! So disappointed in Troy, being Dean's disciple. I loved how Sarah dealt with him - Troy responds well to relationship training! Also disappointed the other men didn't stick up for Patrick. Carly really needs to get rid of that utter loser they paired her with.
If you remember in series 4 it was only Sean and Simon who disagreed with the men-talk at the boys’ night and spoke out against it . All the other men kept shtum . Surely the production team don’t have to keep quite so rigidly to the format ?
inappropriateraspberry · 11/09/2020 09:57

Justin was wrong, the dinner party wasn't boring, but he is.
He didn't say much because he knew Carly was right and he didn't want to fight for her because he doesn't fancy her. He may be 41, but emotionally he's about 21. He's a father for god's sake - I don't know how he can run a 'business' and have no communication skills.

So agree with your last sentence . Gab has forgiven Nasser for everything because of a quick rub . It seems that all his past atrocious behaviour has been forgotten/forgiven . Yet earlier she implied that she was a woman with her own mind/backbone and that she would leave when SHE was ready . Unforgivable back tracking . Angry
MissMarplesHandbag · 11/09/2020 10:15

I can’t see Tracy leaving. Even last night she was looking for the 50/50 view. Rather than accept TF is a grade-A arsehole with no respect for her or women generally, despite all the evidence she’s seen.

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 11/09/2020 11:29

I think Tracey might try to copy Gab and say Leave in the hopes Thumbface says stay and she gets to lord her power over him. I suspect it could backfire if she does.

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 11/09/2020 11:31

But you’re probably right that she wouldn’t dare even risk that. She keeps wanting him to be good, and is constantly surprised that he’s not. It’s almost as though he isn’t who you think he is, Tracey! No matter how hard you wish.

I thought Charlene's take down of Justin was brilliant, your marriage has just ended, but you think it's been a boring night? Justin doesn't seem to realise that he needs to contribute to a social gathering in order to enjoy it and have fun, just like he need to contribute to his relationship if he wants it to work. I can't imagine how he's ever even started a business when his philosophy in life seems to be sit back and watch everyone else.

Also I find it strange that Justin fancies Ash, but not Carly. They are not that different in personality, in fact I think Ash will be very much like Carly when she's the same age. But then Justin wouldn't know that, because despite saying he fancies her I doubt he's ever even spoken to Ash, he just sees a young blonde and thinks yes please.

happinessischocolate · 11/09/2020 12:30

Wonder why Telv didn’t have anything to say.

Just because they didn't show it doesn't mean nothing was said. They were all asking Nasser for his take on the boys night, which make me think the others had had a say too, but it was probably not worth showing. John and Telv saying "I didn't get involved, I said i was happy with my wife and had no desire to swap or have a 2nd choice" doesn't make great viewing. Nasser however dropped Troy in it with the MIL comment, which made it worth showing.

*In between your lovely and interesting posts I am now getting a rather splendid advert from "anorak", of a "kissing badger sweatshirt" and a "badger doormat". Both rather fetching. Anyone else?

Sadly not - bit I am covetous of Rinder's kissing badger duvet set.

Also, how awful is it for Tracey that not only did TF offer her up, but shes had to sit there and hear across the dinner table, from multiple people, that nobody wanted her

This struck me quite forcibly last night - that poor girl has no real confidence to star off with - she's all bravado, and trying to convince herself that she is empowered - and now she's had her nose rubbed well and truly into it.

Next time somebody makes a thread, can we have the words 'Sixty tixting' in the title please?

I'll do it now - but I won't paste link until closer to the end of this, otherwise people drift off, and others looking to join get mixed up

Do do we think Gab and Nasser will go tonight? Or does she think he’s all changed after the mediocre back rub?

I really want to shake Tracey and tell her she’s fine the way she is, and people who constantly point out how independent and strong they are rarely are. Just like people who say you can trust them can’t be trusted. She needs to learn to judge people by their actions and not their assurances!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 11/09/2020 13:27

I feel for girls like Tracey - their self-image hinges on having some bloke in their lives. They really can't see that it is better to be single (even if a bit lonely and frustrated) than dependent on a "man" like that.

She will never win with him. He will always have some glib "explanation" for his appalling behaviour.

If she is lucky, he will dump her like a hot brick as soon as the series ends/ they are out - whichever comes first.

(And I fully expect him to do this - she's useful to him now, she won't be in a couple of weeks).

If she's unlucky, he will keep her dangling for crumbs of affection, and constantly forgiving him for being a "man" and doing what"men do". Some poor women go on for years before the scales fall from their eyes - and it's because they can't see their own self-worth.

I thought it looked like he was rubbing so hard he might have worn away some of her skin.

I would probably fall off my sofa if Tracey said leave. It would be the shock of the night for me.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 11/09/2020 15:26

I'm hoping Carly, Tracey and Gabrielle say "leave" - but I don't hold outmatch hope for Tracey . . .

. . . not with her "standards" Hmm

I don't think Tracy or Gab will go. It looks like Gab and Nasser have been getting on this week, so maybe she'll want to keep trying.
I really hope Carly and Justin go. She can't stay with him. Not after the sixty tixting failed.

I'm in the mood for sixy tixting Mr Eau, whilst we wait for 7.30. Thing is, after 25yrs, asking him if he's wearing underwear or not is more to do with the practicals as to whether I'll need to wash his trousers or not....
