I'm watching with my dd (15) and it is fantastic way of demonstrating how appallingly some people treat others.

I think I read somewhere that she doesn't have residence of her DD, and seems like she's got a shitload of baggage from her childhood. I'm pretty sure the thresholds for residency are similar to here so there must be something fairly unsafe and unstable about her lifestyle that was risky for DD...

I'd put money on her having legacy trauma from her adoption that she's either not aware of or not wanting to deal with.

She needs to be needed/wanted and may see TFs gaslighting and abuse as genuine - she has vulnerable written all over her and he is preying on that.

We see the cycle of abuse played out each week with that relationship.
