The consultant actress is doing a really of portraying how frustrated she is with Leanne but not actually portraying it too Leanne. (Does that make sense?)

Deadringer · 04/10/2020 13:49

its crazy that i feel more empathy for the doctor than for a woman who is losing her only child.

Smallsteps88 · 04/10/2020 13:56

My post should say “a really good job”

StillCoughingandLaughing · 04/10/2020 14:06

I agree, Smallsteps. It’s showing a balance between the natural sympathy anyone would feel and the frustration that Leanne simply won’t listen and is convinced her child is the exception.

For the storyline to work, Oliver has to die. A miracle cure would be both unrealistic and a slap in the face for parents who’ve been through it for real.

Akire · 04/10/2020 20:41

Caught up today, did not see the Micheal thing coming! Great plot twist. Not sure she would go to prison though- she didn’t seem mentally ill so maybe they just give her a warning.

Don’t get how couples who have lived with each other for ages, been married least once before still find getting married & honeymoons special? Tim and Sally don’t need a wedding or a party they been there done that. Though nice to see them getting back together. Gary and Maria Envy no really we don’t want to see any photos. Why has her son been the whole month of honeymoon?

Agree about Sam and possible autistic. Just the way he talked about one subject and all facts and figures all very intense. Yeah sure bring my secret love child to my own home that my current parents/ step-child/sis in law/ step child’s dad/mum might walk in at any time. What can possible go wrong?

lollipoprainbow · 05/10/2020 07:14

Leanne is so childish the way the stomps around like a petulant child can't stand her !!!!

MsMiaWallace · 05/10/2020 08:25

People talking about Sam maybe being autistic....
my DS will go on & on about Jurassic World facts/minecraft etc. He's 9.

Akire · 05/10/2020 09:28

It was more space thing and the bike facts and how he normally checks his bike every 2min it out of sight. Plus it’s was his first time meeting his Dad but didn’t display any kind of emotion or questions about Nik at that point just talked about his interests. He could just be a very intense character maybe.

Roussette · 05/10/2020 09:40

@MsMiaWallace
Awww your DS!
A lot of respect from me for the Jurassic World thing. I'm in my 60s and it's a standing joke in my family how obsessed I am with all the JW films... (can't tell you how many times I've seen them Blush)

MrsSteveMcDonald · 05/10/2020 09:56

Rather behind here but just have to say how strange it is to see undertaker George fully dressed.

Agree that bringing Sam in now is a stupid move. Why do soaps feel the need to do this all the time? It's like when someone finds out they're pregnant and is thinking of having an abortion but then bumps into various people randomly saying how much they love their children and that it's the best thing ever.

No, Nick and Gary are not remotely fanciable. David isn't good looking but at least has a personality. Adam - no. Peter is alright but nobody will ever beat my Steve.

MsMiaWallace · 05/10/2020 09:57

I found it odd that Sam said I love you on the phone to him so soon!
Maybe Natasha has said the 'your dad works away' thing like pp mentioned.
Leanne is gonna flip ou when she finds out, even more screeching!

Virgo1958 · 05/10/2020 10:35

Pa Bailey and Michael are terrible. Wish they'd disappear and take their awful overacting with them.

Spam88 · 05/10/2020 10:41

Agree that the Nick storyline is so unnecessary. Surely the Oliver storyline is bad enough and enough to explore without throwing this in as well.

JamieLeeCurtains · 05/10/2020 11:12

It all seems wildly inappropriate.

Smallsteps88 · 05/10/2020 13:34

It’s almost like they’re deliberately steering the Leanne character towards a complete breakdown. I can’t see any other reason for introducing this new child storyline.

Deadringer · 05/10/2020 13:36

The weird thing about bringing Sam in is that all the other children are banished from the programme, presumably due to covid.

PennyRoyal · 05/10/2020 15:52

Yes, you're right! No other children on set yet this one is allowed to appear.

I don't particularly like Leanne but talk about being kicked while you're down. Dealing with terminally ill child while her DP has a newly discovered ready-prepared son and her sister is about to foster children.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 05/10/2020 16:10

Does anyone honestly know how they’d be acting in poor Leanne’s situation. It doesn’t bare thinking about really, does it.

eddiemairswife · 05/10/2020 17:59

Sally and Tim could get married in their hot tub.

NCTDN · 05/10/2020 18:48

Sam is def ASD

Roussette · 05/10/2020 19:35

Gosh... I think Steve has put on a bit of lockdown weight

Not that I'm one to talk.

Hope you can put up with the love handles MrsSteveMcDonald Grin

Smallsteps88 · 05/10/2020 19:35

Abi and Tim are so funny on screen together. I love them.

Roussette · 05/10/2020 19:41

I think it is so so wrong to be knocking the NHS in these particular times. I feel quite strongly about this. Which is what Leanne is doing all the time

ColonelNobbyNobbs · 05/10/2020 19:42

Yasmeen!!!

I like Sally’s flowery blouse

Spidey66 · 05/10/2020 19:50

GAIL!!!!
