I'm only about 6 years out! I really must concentrate more Grin

woodhill · 03/10/2020 13:54

Also bored with Leanne's default particularly to the doctor - rude, stroppy. I understand she is distraught and it is a terrible situation but it is tedious now

JamieLeeCurtains · 03/10/2020 14:09

I said ages ago that Leanne will end up accusing the hospital of wanting to steal Oliver's organs.

Queenoftheashes · 03/10/2020 14:22

@PoloNeckKnickers

Nick seems to have aged about 20 years although I thought he looked quite shaggable in the leather jacket Confused. Why would Grace be arrested? Why would Sarah still fancy Gary? Why has Toyah got a very shiny face?
Suspect toyah’s had Botox
Roussette · 03/10/2020 14:34

Leanne is such a dislikeable character. I've never been able to warm to her

SomethingPunny · 03/10/2020 14:38

My first impression of Sam is that he could be autistic, which I guess some of you have alluded to by saying he seems more like Roy's son than Nick's. What was he in hospital for? Have I forgotten or was it not specified?

Spam88 · 03/10/2020 15:59

Think it was a broken bone/suspected broken bone? I'm sure there was talk of an X-ray...

JamieLeeCurtains · 03/10/2020 16:17

I like lil Sam.

Whylurkwhenicanjoinin · 03/10/2020 18:06

I like little Sam too, although its an utterly ridiculous storyline

nildesparandum · 03/10/2020 19:50

I like Sam as well but agree the storyline about him is terrible and very badly timed.
Also Evelyn and Tyrone, ridculous story

Honeyroar · 03/10/2020 19:50

I didn’t mind Sam either, although it’s a ridiculous storyline and evolved too quickly. I mean we’ve just had a plot line about bumping into an ex and your baby with Micheal. Are we really doing another straight away!!

Isn't that the idea though that it's badly timed? I was tired out listening to Sam he never stops!
Awwlookatmybabyspider · 04/10/2020 01:43

Regarding Sam. As if IRL you’d be cAlling a new found parent “Dad” and telling them
“ I love you” virtually straight away. I’m not saying you’d never get to that point. Surely you’d have to build up a relationship first.

aproblemsharedisaprobleminhalf · 04/10/2020 02:11

@SoPanny

I have to say, I’ve got such a soft spot for Ryan Russell ever since he was a presenter on CBeebies and I think he did the scenes in the station well. I’m even fond of Edison even though he’s a Dev Alahan soundalike.

Also weirdly loved the Carla/Adam exchange as well.

Maybe I’m strange or maybe my bar has fallen so low from Emmerdale’s ghastly output of late I’m actually enjoying Corrie a lot atm (except for Fiz).

I'm so glad I'm not the only one really enjoying it at the moment haha
Roussette · 04/10/2020 07:34

I wish Sam was Roy's son. He would then have the perfect life. A little mini me version of him and whatshername with the goth make up who's a bit 'different'.

CoolShoeshine · 04/10/2020 08:57

I think Sam’s inherited Gail’s hair genes Grin

Pretty sure though the pp is right in saying he is going to be a character with autism, which should be interesting. Nice to have a kid who looks and acts a bit different from the usual child actor mould.

Mairyhinge · 04/10/2020 10:45

I really want the hospital consultant to say ' ok Leanne that's ENOUGH!" When she's banging on about how bad they are and how they want Oliver to die. I couldn't be that diplomatic and calm. I know she's suffering but I'd have to say " for fucks sake Leanne sort yourself out I'm not the bad one here"
She's getting on my last fucking nerve.

They already did and autism story with Max. If I remember correctly, he took some tablets and got better Grin
Deadringer · 04/10/2020 11:26

Max has adhd i think. I was watching the scene with leanne and the specialist, and i was thinking, doctors spend years studying, working like a dog, desperately trying to save people's lives, having to give people awful news, and for what, to be accused of not caring and not doing their job. I know it's not real but this sort of thing must play out every day in real hospitals, it just made me feel very grateful for everyone in the medical profession.

Roussette · 04/10/2020 11:35

So agree deadringer and I'd go so far as to say... it's not a good portrayal, and seeing Leanne being so vile to the medical professionals, especially in these difficult times, might make some people think it's OK to be like that

excelledyourself · 04/10/2020 12:36

Did anyone else know that Hope and Joseph are twins in real life?? Confused

Smallsteps88 · 04/10/2020 12:40

Yes and April in emmerdale Is their sister.

excelledyourself · 04/10/2020 12:45

Wow. They are all similar now I look at them.

Do Corrie and Emmerdale film near each other? Can't be easy to manage.

Smallsteps88 · 04/10/2020 12:49

I’m not sure tbh. It must take a fair bit of organisation.

Yes agree, it is embarrassing and I'm surprised Nick or Steve haven't apologised to the consultant for her rude behaviour
