@UtterlyDone I have subtitles on too, but i rewound and it was "Eileen"

PoloNeckKnickers · 02/10/2020 21:49

Nick seems to have aged about 20 years although I thought he looked quite shaggable in the leather jacket Confused.
Why would Grace be arrested? Why would Sarah still fancy Gary? Why has Toyah got a very shiny face?

excelledyourself · 02/10/2020 21:55

Would the police charge her with fraud for taking money from Michael, even if he didn't press charges himself? That's all I could think of really. I mean, obviously she totally screwed with his, but "fraud" for that?

EachandEveryone · 02/10/2020 22:06

I thought Nick had suddenly got more attractive as well.

eddiemairswife · 02/10/2020 22:13

The only one I find remotely attractive is Steve. Can't stand Leanne and can't summon up an ounce of sympathy for her. My heart sank when Gary re-appeared.

ellenanora5 · 03/10/2020 01:46

Am I the only one who thought Sam was great, I loved the way he talked about the telescope etc, he was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise depressing episode.

If Leanne starts a go fund me or rage against the hospital who won't help her child I'll stop watching, it's not a story for an evening soap drama, I'll never understand why they started it.

JemimaTab · 03/10/2020 02:52

TBH I was half expecting Nick, having met his son, to change his mind again about contact. Blimey that kid was annoying.

Queenoftheashes · 03/10/2020 07:10

Omg nick junior is a young George R R Martin

Roussette · 03/10/2020 07:45

Totally agree and if they go as far as Leanne making Steve take Oliver from the hospital against hospital's wishes, I shall only watch on catch up and fast forward through.

Leanne is going to go nuclear when she finds out about this son of Nick's who shock horror is probably similar age to Oliver.

SmellsLikeFeet · 03/10/2020 08:42

I love little Sam, he is a breath of fresh air, cracking little actor
I agree about the Oliver story line, the writers have misjudged it

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 03/10/2020 09:01

To the pp who said Oliver and Nicks kid were about the same age, Nicks kid is supposed to be 9 I think she said? And Oliver is 3 or 4 afaik.
That Natasha is a right shit stirrer, she definitely told the lad to write to Nick, knowing what he's going through at the moment I think she's a cow, but then she always was!
I wish the Oliver storyline was about someone else, Leanne is just horrible to watch she's always angry and ranty and always marching around, even before this!

Housewife2010 · 03/10/2020 09:15

Natasha left ten years ago so 9 is right.

eggandonion · 03/10/2020 09:32

I think they really should not have done Oliver's story. That type of subject would be better handled in a hospital documentary, it's too sensitive for a soap. Especially this one.
Is Grace pregnant?

Smallsteps88 · 03/10/2020 09:46

The Sam stuff is odd.

“Are you my dad?” Just like that and he walks in and starts talking away. Surely the child will have some sort of feelings or emotions about meeting his father? He was behaving as if he was interviewing for science camp. And what the hell about saying Natasha she told him his dad worked at NASA as if it’s just a funny story. That’s a serious lie! Why aren’t they treating this as if it’s not a massive deal that a child meets his father for the first time in husband life?

excelledyourself · 03/10/2020 10:01

Yeah, where did Sam get his name and address??

And the whole "love you Dad" at the end of the invitation to stargazing? She's not set any expectations whatsoever and instead has really set her kid up for a total shitstorm.

SmellsLikeFeet · 03/10/2020 10:29

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Natasha is still obsessed with Nick and has been talking to Sam in a 'daddy has to work abroad a lot' way. That would explain why Sam didn't feel uncomfortable.
Ooh she could have written letters to Sam from Nick from his job at Nasa
I need to get out more Grin

eggandonion · 03/10/2020 10:29

It's like when Tyrone found his nana. Too strange.

SmellsLikeFeet · 03/10/2020 10:37

Indeed @eggandonion but thank God he did, she has brought some humour to the street

BreconBeBuggered · 03/10/2020 10:55

I'm not sure we needed another unexpected child on the street, but at least Sam feels like a real child. One you might want to send to bed very early, right enough, but entertaining in small doses.

Optimist1 · 03/10/2020 11:06

Roy would be a more suitable parent for Sam than Nick. Grin

eggandonion · 03/10/2020 11:34

He's a child version of a performance parent.
I like Rita being with Mavis, eating pudding.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 03/10/2020 11:48

I never understood the whole ‘Jackie’s not your real mother’ storyline. Why didn’t they just make Evelyn Jackie’s estranged mother? I think there’s only about 12 years between the actresses, but that’s more than there is between Sue Nicholls and Helen Worth.

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 03/10/2020 11:57

When we watched it last night, dh said about Nicks kid, he's the human version of Edmond the elephant from Peppa Pig!

Roussette · 03/10/2020 12:08

That was me! I haven't a clue and I'm in a time bubble!

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 03/10/2020 12:11
