Me neither @eggandonion plus my pre-teens have started watching it with us (gripped by Geoff and Yasmeen) so I really don't want to have to deal with that.

eddiemairswife · 30/09/2020 22:13

So we seem to have a trio of 'loose women' Natasha, Nikki and (from tonight) Naomi.

Ingridla · 30/09/2020 22:13

There are serious problems in the corrie scriptwriting offices right now.

That was absolute dire. It's so bad in terms of acting, writing, storylines, I can't justify tuning in anymore. Awful. All of it.

eggandonion · 30/09/2020 22:40

My dd1 learned a lot from Sarah Louise being pregnant, but I don't think the cause of it was ever mentioned! My friend (61, male) almost stopped watching because of 'smutty innuendo'!

CoolShoeshine · 30/09/2020 22:47

I’m probably the only one but I quite liked the Michael storyline tonight - not the bit where he took the child but the bit in the police station where he found out that she had completely different parents and that he’d been deceived by misery Grace. I didn’t see that coming and thought it a good twist

BenoneBeauty · 30/09/2020 23:01

Me too @CoolShoeshine

Willowmartha1 · 30/09/2020 23:22

Carla was really awful tonight screeching at Adam, who does she think she is !

Roussette · 30/09/2020 23:23

I don't like sex on Corrie. Normal People it's fine, not on Corrie

Hahahaha... totally agree. Before covid, when a scene was a couple in bed, shock horror with supposedly no clothes on, I nearly have to turn away. It's just tooooo much!

nildesparandum · 30/09/2020 23:26

I have said before on here IRL Roy's Rolls would have been closed down years ago because of the poor hygiene standards.
Roy handling food in the same greasy looking apron and cardigan with his hair hanging in his face, and now Nina serving food with those black lace things on her hands and no hair covering either, yuck.
Sarah -Lou using all those big words all of a sudden about knicker designs.
Most of the acting is tripe.

excelledyourself · 30/09/2020 23:30

I actually agree that the twist of Grace not even being her mum was totally unexpected. I just don't see the point of it, at all. And I didn't enjoy his attempts at emotion. But it is his first major storyline I guess, so good luck to him. He wouldn't be the first to improve.

BreconBeBuggered · 30/09/2020 23:35

Aggie will be having to bite her tongue not to say she knew Grace was a bad 'un. Perhaps she'll bite it off altogether .

JemimaTab · 01/10/2020 03:07

Yeah the Grace twist didn’t make a lot of sense. It’s not like she could have scammed Michael for money as it’s not like he has any. Not sure where they’re going with it.

I actually don’t mind Michael too much, he’s definitely the best one out of that family, although he does have a bit of a cartoon voice. The dad though is terrible - it’s like in Blackadder 3 when the Prince had acting lessons.

Screaming Grin

Just came on to give my weekly update that I’d still bang Peter Barlow and Daniel Osborne, the former has greatest bangability this week at least.

Okay, thanks everyone.

MsMiaWallace · 01/10/2020 06:30

Grace did get some money & bits out of Michael though didn't she?

PoloNeckKnickers · 01/10/2020 06:44

I haven't watched since just before the sinkhole and intended to watch when the Geoff/Yasmeen storyline gets going again. I might have to watch last night's to see if it's as shite as it sounds.

TikTakTikTak · 01/10/2020 07:20

I'm finally caught up now, just so I can catch up on this thread Grin
Michael did his best acting yet, it was very good but the distancing is getting silly now. His dad would have been hugging him. Tianna's real Mum was holding her, I wonder if the actress is her actual Mum as well then?

Also, I cant believe that no one else has mentioned Daniel's mask. It looks like he's put a greying pair of pants on his face Envy (not envy).

Optimist1 · 01/10/2020 07:26

Is there any chance that everyone could hold back on selling their businesses till Dr Schmitz has actually seen Oliver and confirm that he's suitable for the very expensive treatment? No! Nick's willing to sell his half of Underworld immediately to anyone who can come up with any amount. Steve's boasting about getting a quick sale for the taxi company and florist.

How will they all support themselves financially if their businesses have been sold? Understandable that you want to do anything you possibly can to help, but absolute madness to sell up before you know whether the treatment's actually going to happen!

Roussette · 01/10/2020 07:35

Good point!
Now that's the sort of observation Corrie needs more of... to get it back to normal. Will it ever? She must be her Mum yes!

I too love how they're all selling up to raise massive amounts of money for a treatment by somebody they've never met and which treatment may not work, he hasn't even had any tests by this new Dr... Dr. Schnitzel could be a shyster!

AS IF Tracy would just give in!

It's like Corrie has changed the personalities along with everything else

TikTakTikTak · 01/10/2020 07:36

Judging by Tracey's expression when Steve spoke about selling all of their businesses quickly, she's thinking the same.

eggandonion · 01/10/2020 07:42

I hope dr badass or the hospital doctor can advise them to hold on, or Adam will delay the legal process of selling multiple business interests.
My dd2 is now sucked in to Corrie, it's amazing how you just keep watching no matter how crazy it is.

Willowmartha1 · 01/10/2020 07:42

@Optimist1 was thinking the same last night ! All this racing around trying to sell the businesses when they haven't even met dr Schmitz is ridiculous how are they all going to survive !!

Willowmartha1 · 01/10/2020 07:43

Ps what's an Italian chicken sandwich ?!

Roussette · 01/10/2020 07:56

I said upthread... I reckon there's going to be a taking of Oliver from the hospital because Dr Badass won't discharge him. Do hope not as it's a storyline that shouldn't be done in a soap as far as I'm concerned. What has happened to just a couple of families in this position, it is not mainstream, it's just sensationalism for Corrie to do it.
Let's hope I'm wrong.

Roussette · 01/10/2020 07:57

Ps what's an Italian chicken sandwich ?!

One that Gino De Campo makes?! Grin

Smallsteps88 · 01/10/2020 08:29

Dr Badass is a GP though, not a hospital consultant so it wouldn’t be her that refuses to discharge, it would be the the other doctor.
