Corrie generally has a miraculous recovery rate. There is no Way they can afford half a million. Plus all their living expenses and no work for months at a time. Unless there has been some major break through in treatment and Ollie will be lucky one. But shitty for all other parents watching or worse still being told “ But we saw a cure on TV” maybe you could do a sponsored walk.?

JamieLeeCurtains · 19/09/2020 18:31

Yes we were trying to work out how many of Leanne and Steve's family would have to sell or remortgage their houses and flats in Wetherfield to fund half a million quid's worth of 'therapy'.

Or will Lee just 'do a crowdfunder'?

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 19/09/2020 18:32

I've had a crush on David for years Blush

teawithbetty · 19/09/2020 18:35

He’s definitely one of the better actors. But he and Shona as a couple don’t convince me at all, even before this weird storyline.

Mollypolly2610 · 19/09/2020 21:00

What’s happened to Johnny he came back then disappeared.

Is it just me or does Tracy look different?

StillCoughingandLaughing · 19/09/2020 21:35

For this storyline to work, as distressing as it will be to watch, Oliver HAS to die eventually. A miracle cure would be a cop-out.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 20/09/2020 11:59

What's happened to the whole Aggie family? Confused

Michael and the sour-faced mother of his child are in next week’s episodes. If the producers really want the family to work, they need to integrate them more with other characters. All their storylines are self-contained; you could cut all their scenes and it wouldn’t impact anyone else.

On another topic, does anyone else think Debbie Webster has slotted in really well?

woodhill · 20/09/2020 12:19

The story lines are dull atm and I

I probably sound horrible but I don’t find it distressing at all. It seems uncomfortably close to the Charlie Gard case, though.

Yes, I agree. I like her and hope she stays permanently.

Akire · 20/09/2020 15:18

I understand Kev being scared off the whole drug thing but to say it’s because of his son not so much. The twins were little baby 3y olds totally incapable and in real danger of picking up and eating something. His son is what 9/10? By all means throw Abbie out if she does every take A class drugs but throwing her out because she might possible at some point Confused

I’m hating all the bar chat. None of the bar staff have any charm and it’s all so wooden. Shut the pub, deliveroo the hot pots and put as out of our misery.

@Akire Gonna agree and disagree with you!

Agree about Kevin and worrying about Jack, can't see Abby being much danger to him. Plus she's only had a small swig of morphine, she's not shooting heroine nightly!

Disagree about the bar. I really like Jenny at The Rovers, she's funny and likeable. I was hoping for a little flirt between Emma and Craig on Friday when he came in, but no!

StillCoughingandLaughing · 20/09/2020 15:39

I’m still convinced that Craig and Nina will get together. She’s arty, so if the scriptwriters remember Craig is too, they’ll have that in common.

I did like Jenny’s comment about nothing fried having passed the new slimline Craig’s lips Grin

Smallsteps88 · 20/09/2020 16:02

Agree about Kevin’s sudden problem with Abi being an addict. He already knew her entire history. He knew how bad it was to have had her kids taken off her. It’s a bit silly now to start going “oops i didn’t think of my son!”

ZaraCarmichaelshighheels · 20/09/2020 18:00

Typical Kevin when the going gets tough.......wasn’t he the same with Anna’s burns all supportive and then had an affair with Erica? I do remember he took Anna’s compensation money for the garage and never gave it back either.

woodhill · 20/09/2020 19:13

Kevin seems to be very angry under the surface and always sounds indignant even when he is happy

Totally agree. I don't find Kevin very likeable.
Akire · 20/09/2020 19:23

Paul’s the same he constantly looks like he’s trying to pass a melon

eggandonion · 20/09/2020 19:24

Kevin has always been like that, in classic corrie hes that way25 years ago. I suppose he hasn't had a personality transplant unlike many of them!
And Debbie has the same head too.

It's called acting my luvvies.

Must be that acting school they all went to. Watermelon Sugar High.

Clawdy · 20/09/2020 20:35

I must be the only one who finds Debbie irritating. Over-the-top acting, and the big toothy smile.

RAOK · 20/09/2020 20:55

I don’t like Debbie either!
