Apologies if there is already a thread but I missed it? Been watching since episode 2 and always adore it... did I miss something in episode 1 about change of presenters? Is this just because it is previous contenders or is it permanent? I miss George et al. Loving seeing all the old faces though! Thanks

I really dislike the person who was eliminated most recently so glad they left. In their original series, they snapped angrily at another older, female contestant. It was aggressive and not nice.
I didn't mind the eliminated contestant in this series but didn't so much in their original.

Ok I have had the mother of all catch ups today. Partly due to fact I discovered I had sky go on my phone and it was easy to use etc. Up to date. Agree with general verdict about who went.
Really enjoying this series and the new judges.
Also loved Matt George and Gary.

I agree that the right contestant went home on Friday. I hadn't remembered them snapping at another contestant in their season, not nice to hear at all.

I wasn’t happy - out of the four I’d have preferred someone else to go. Reece did make my heart melt just a bit though.

I wasn't unhappy - I was so keen for this person to win their original series and was gutted when they were eliminated. But I haven't liked them so much this series, Found them a bit annoying.

So sad about the last elimination! I actually think they were a good enough cook to win the competition and it really annoys me when they go home trying to make other chefs dishes or other challenges that I don't think actually reflect their true ability to cook amazing food.

I may be over invested this year Grin

This week DH and I have mostly been pretending to be Jock and Andy clearly we are both over invested The other night I critiqued DCs' takeaway pizza in a terrible Scottish accent including the words "flavour bomb...I love it..." etc and DH repeated my exact words in an even worse Australian accent while looking at me anxiously for approval I don't that if that was being Andy or just a good DH Wink

I don't think either of us is stylish enough to play Melissa...

I love Reece! He seems really lovely and although he is a vegan he has hardly mentioned it. Grin
He must want to win so badly he is willing to eat the fish/meat dishes cooked by the chefs etc for the challenges.

These are my top 8 favs I’d be happy to win, it’s getting exciting now!

Just a petty little rant about Andy. I’m sure he’s lovely but his comments are all over the place so you’re never quite sure whether he likes it or not. Or he jumps in with something brutal - there’s no middle ground! Jock usually leads with I love it or it doesn’t work or whatever. And his (Andy’s) jackets 😣 I haven’t seen one that looks nice and suits him 🤦🏻‍♀️ He’s ok in a suit 🤷🏻‍♀️😅

So pleased to have found this thread! I love Australian Masterchef! And I think this is my fav ever season.

I really am enjoying it with the new judges but I agree with others that Andy is super annoying. He is annoying me more and more as the contest goes on! I just don’t think he adds anything but I love the other 2 and had no idea jock was called Barry!!

I stupidly googled something to do with this season early on and I know who makes it to the top 2 and who wins which is so annoying! Still loving it though!

I am new to Australian Masterchef, but I am loving this series. The genuine camaraderie is uplifting during these difficult times. I am getting through the tissues.

But I agree it’s been a lovely season - love the new judges, and that the contestants seem to really care about each other ... quite uplifting in these times 🥰

I couldn't bear Andy at first but now I'm finding hes quite a good foil for Jock and Mel. Hes very different to them - a bit like an over excited puppy bounding around everywhere which makes me laugh. He seems to put the contestants at ease as well whereas Jock has the opposite effect, seems to try to unsettle them with their choices and this has had a negative effect on the final result at times.

I spoiled myself in the sane way 2 years running.
3 years ago I posted on Facebook that I was watching the show. And tagged the show
Then in my Facebook memories, it shows me a year ago my comment plus the tv show cover was updated with the winner holding a dish! Last year I wasn't sure I had been spoiled until the end. This year I assume I have been but least this time I have gone abd deleted the original post! So won't happen next year!
