I’m not sure if there is a thread already, please direct me to it if there is!

It’s summer which means its the time of year I start musing about which celebs might be up for the glitter ball trophy this year! I was a bit worried we might not be getting a series this year but a quick google reassured me plans are in place.

So it looks like they are hoping for bubbles between the stars and professionals families, possibly weekly CV testing and temp checks. Hair, make up and costume to be done with PPE. Sounds like they could put on a fairly similar show to normal. No audience though, which will be weird. And I guess no gathering of contestants for the scores, which will be weird. Will the whole thing lack atmosphere?

And there is the ringer Masie Smith studied musical theatre before she went back to Eastenders.

She seems a lovely girl though if a bit "perky" I imagine she will be like an excited puppy.

I'd actually quite like Bill Bailey and Katya together, I think that could work.

I was thinking Caroline with Giovanni, but maybe not if she's known for bit difficult.

I'd like to see Neil with a ringer, so maybe Maisie? I loved some of his routines with Alex last year, and would like to see what he could do with a ringer.

Quite happy now. Maisie will definitely be able to dance. Bill Bailey not so much I imagine! Guess EE will be Tiff free for the autumn and winter

Well they just said October on The One Show, I watched it yesterday and there wasn't any more Strictly news Mrsmc , there's me just watching old fashioned telly, not reading The Crumb or on any other Social media except this one I'll have to get my info from my luvvies on here!!!

Bill might be a dark horse given his musical ear. I think he'll be massively popular like Chris last year.

I had the pairings as:
Nicola with Janette (heights and she'll be able to lift her easily. Plus Janette might have made finals last year. Will very popular. This gives her a second (and last!) chance to see how she does with a potential finalist (hopefully not a barber shop inspired ballroom whatever that was that Aston did)
Jacqui and Anton (He made the finals last year and will be relegated back to his usual role. I wasn't keen at all with the Emma pairing so am not butt hurt if this happens)
Jamie and Oti (Original pairing and should stand given her success last year. Unless they were not doing well in training and he broke his ankle to get out of it!)
Clara and Gorka (Pissy Gorka last year gets unfairly rewarded for sulking. But I have just realised I have missed out Neil in the pairings. I'd rather see more of Neil's choreo than Gorks tbh)
Bill and Nadija (I haven't checked heights though but would like to see Nadijya in a more fun partnership. I still don't feel like I know her at all)
Caroline and Aljaz (Aljaz has not had a lot older woman except maybe Kate and I think she'd clash with Gio although they could go for a Debbie mark 2 trajectory I am not sure Caroline is as fit as Debbie was)
Ranvir and Gio (I still like Gio's choreo. He has made the finals so often it wouldn't kill him to have a duffer or sit out this year but I think he is popular so not sure what they'll do with him)
Jason and Luba (Again, unsure - I don't feel like I know Luba at all and would like to see her do well given last year but not even getting James into a tango hold. His was the worst I'd seen: So if Luba gets benched as one of the last in, and Katya given preference, it won't smart as much as Neil being rebenched for example. Katya seemed fragile/manic last year though so no strong preference who goes)
Max and Dianne (Again, Dianne deserved to go further last year but not knowing whose idea the music was, hard to say how much was self-sabotage).
JJ and Karen (I think they'd do well)
Maisie and Jojo (I want to see Johannes with a ringah)
Youtuber and Graz (Loved Graz after Xmas with Chizzy so why not?)

Sitting out - Nancy (shame) Amy (meh) either Luba or Katya
Marius (expected) either Gorka or Graz but the latter was more gracious last year.

I usually get about 3 correct so watch all those go up in smoke

Nicola and Janette will be perfect together. I really hope that guess is right. Janette will not be afraid to go for it. I can feel the chemistry from here.
