We have been discussing the series Our Girl since the first one aired in 2014 and are now on number 56! Occasionally between discussions of Our Girl, we watch the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

Georgie is very unhappy at not being allowed to treat some of the emergencies coming in. Confined to barracks indeed.

I did sort of warm to Throbber after a while. I think perhaps he's a foil to Prof's intelligence!

Cheese and Mimi definitely have history!

Yes Throbber is edging into being quite sweet. Cheese however is a sinister creepy individual.

Georgie just can't let the situation with Omar go, even though she's due for her psych assessment imminently.

I think Dr Antonio still has designs on Georgie, even though it's clearly not reciprocated.

Cheese is a thoroughly despicable character. It's a wonder it's never been picked up on in his previous roles.

Mimi asks Cheese to keep quiet about their background.

Poor Lt Hurst gets it in the neck yet again from the brigadier. He's another despicable character - suppose he plays a good part though.

Dr Bahil has been discharged and she and Georgie have a chat.

The brigadier does an inspection of the Afghan recruits. Not sure whether they are as bad as he reckons or whether he's just taking it out on poor Hurst.

Georgie meets the psychologist. There must be a lot of work at the base for there to be a full time psychologist.

The brigadier is deep in army protocol and discipline and smart uniforms and the old boy keeping up appearances attitude not so useful in modern army life!

Dr Antonio examines the captured Omar.

Why does Antonio wear that stupid cap. It makes him look less professional, not more so.

Yes certainly seems unusual to have psychologist on tap in that set up.

I do like this scene. I think we realise Throbber isn't such an idiot after all and has such a soft spot for dogs. It is lovely too!

He says his own dog, Mitzi, is a pitbull cross but that first episode when he was looking at photos on his phone, it looked like a Staffie to me.

So, back in the room now. Where are we exactly. I've moved on about 20 minutes and Georgie is talking to Prof.

Poor Prof. He's talking sense to Georgie, he really is, but she won't listen. Definitely a spark of interest on his part too.

Training session - oh dear, no idea what is going on.

Yes Prof it certainly plugging away gently in his pursuit of Georgie.

I think Cheese's nasty streak has come to the fore where Poya's concerned

Sorry - got too involved in watching - love that tearful Elvis in Kenya.

Cheese is horrible.

So Max used to go to a boxing club - no wonder he thought he could take Elvis on!
