Pizza and red wine! Stan just keeps getting better Grin

He even promised Jelena Djok a gluten free one Shock

JaneJeffer · 19/05/2020 22:21

Ah a lovely seaside picnic magi

I got a fair amount of housework done and then I went to town to go the post office and the supermarket. It was good to get out for half an hour!

If Jelena doesn't actually have a gluten allergy (and she doesn't eat it simply because her husband says she can't Hmm), then - if I was Stan - I'd just make her a normal pizza, and say nothing Grin

JaneJeffer · 19/05/2020 23:08

Very naughty kazza Grin I have to say too much gluten doesn't agree with me but it's so yummy!

kazza you are a woman after my own heart!

That view is about a 5 minute walk from Devonshire Park & the tennis. Just to give you another reason to come to Eastbourne next year! Grin

Morning all.

Dh roped me into the quiz again last night- but I didn't have to sing, thank goodness. We came second- seems we aren't very good at guessing the price of things.

Stan has definitely been enjoying his time off from playing tennis, hasn't he? Pizza and wine sounds good.

I cannot believe Gabriela Sabatini is 50 either. I used to want to be her, I thought she was stunning.

This home teaching thing is getting me down, but I have realised I knew a whole lot of stuff about river systems and the water cycle, that was somewhere in the back of my brain Grin. I'm not sure how much dd2 has learnt tbh.

JaneJeffer · 20/05/2020 11:09

I was very intrigued in an Andrew Castle way about this comment after Jelena asked for some pizza. I loved Stan's pizza making T-shirt.

Jane that is a bit odd. I'm wondering if it is a 'lost in translation' kind of moment.

Fizzywinegum · 20/05/2020 12:20

Don’t know what to make of that comment Jane Confused

Have you been doing ox bow lakes Raahh? I remember them from school!

Gabriela Sabatini was stunning wasn’t she? Not sure what she looks like now (probably better than me!)

Raahh · 20/05/2020 12:26

Fizzy DD1 has (coincidentally she is doing rivers too, but she is in year 9- most of what she is doing, I don't remember). The basics for year 4, I'm all over it Grin.

Fizzywinegum · 20/05/2020 12:36
Grin
JaneJeffer · 20/05/2020 12:41

She's really let herself go I'm presuming she doesn't have children then.

I think that’s why I didn’t want to google her Jane - she’s only a year younger than me!

Raahh · 20/05/2020 13:05

Poor Juan Sad

and yes, Gabriela has definitely not aged well, has she Grin.
She's 18 months older than me. Makes me look like my gran who is 90

JaneJeffer · 20/05/2020 15:53

As far as we know...

Fizzywinegum · 20/05/2020 15:59

Oh dear - think Stef has finally lost it Grin

magimedi · 20/05/2020 17:03

I would comfort Delpo!

I love Stef - great sense of humor.

Fizzywinegum · 20/05/2020 19:46

I bet you would magi Grin. Poor Delpo - too many photos gazing into each other’s eyes!

It’s the Repair Shop and Sewing Bee night again - groundhog week strikes again!

Raahh · 20/05/2020 19:56

Fizzy Grin

Wednesday again. The big question- will I stay awake for Sewing Bee probably not

kazzaD66 · 20/05/2020 19:58

Stef is certainly a personality Wink

Jane I saw that comment about Djok's parents and thought either the person is a troll or there's something in it, that might mean they're as odd as their son Confused

Sabatini hasn't aged well at all (she looks even better than she did 30 years ago Envy). Showed DH the photo - "ooh, I used to think she was gorgeous. Looks even better now, I agree!" Angry She used to have very square shoulders, as I remember (I'm hanging on to that thought....Grin)

JaneJeffer · 20/05/2020 20:42

Every time they say "Mary Doll" on The Repair Shop I just think of Rab C Nesbitt Grin

OP posts:
Raahh · 20/05/2020 20:45

Jane Grin

My mother had a doll from her first birthday that looked very similar. She is 69. I wonder if she still has it? It was called Hamble, long before 'Play School' had a Hamble. Never took off as a name. thankfully.

Raahh · 20/05/2020 20:46

kazza yy- there must be some faults to Gabriela.

bet there aren't
