I did quite well last night- managed to stay awake for most of the Eurovision stuff- and nodded of around 10.15.

The Andy and Dick chat sounds funny - though I am not sure I could stand to watch Kyrgios.

Another weekend, another missed tournament. . It's starting to feel like things will never get back to normal.

Btw - I thought you were only allowed to play tennis outdoors? They were both inside and out, along with Jamie Delgado

Went for a nice walk earlier with DS and DH. DS goes striding off at one point, DH and I couldn't see him at a junction and took a different route to him. Got back home expecting DS to already be there but he's not He turned up about 20 mins later. I know he's nearly 17, but I couldn't help but worry. He may be 6'3" but he's still my little boy

The rules here are now so vague that I think people are just making it up as they go along (a bit like the government )

I spent yesterday avoiding doing anything much even though the house is upside down which of course is why FIL arrived because no one ever turns up when I've tided the place! I'm not really feeling it today either I have to say.

Just been shopping - wasn’t a very pleasant experience - people pushing in and queue jumping - grrr - doesn’t take long for people to return to type!

DH is also working from home which isn’t improving my mood - at least he’s not in the middle of the kitchen having a video call which he did last time

I think I need to go back to bed and get up on the other side to improve my mood!

Crikey fizzy ! You've already been shopping? I'm now feeling very inadequate and lazy, sitting here in my jim jams, with my post-breakfast cup of tea Not good about queue jumpers! I need to do a big fortnightly shop tomorrow (plus one for dad). Can't cope with any shenanigans!

Finally got round to watching Rafa, Rog and Andy yesterday. It was painful watching him trying to connect to Roger I'm glad I'm not the only incompetent IT bod!

On the back of that, I saw some of the weekly shows Bethanie M-S is doing with Pospisil (I think). Quite funny, although I am somewhat memorised by BMS's startlingly white teeth and false eyelashes

I usually prefer to go early kazza before the crazy people come out but it didn’t quite work out today. I’m shopping for us (almost 4 adults), my DM and my friends parents . My friend lives in Australia and this weekend she is going to the hairdressers and a restaurant - I’m very jealous!

Thinking about Rafa trying to connect with Roger on his insta chat still makes me laugh . I was trying to listen to the radio on my phone the other day and I didn’t think it was working so had to ask DS1 for assistance - I’d not turned the volume on

I’m still contemplating going back to bed!

Also went shopping early - avoids the queues. Then DH & I went out for a long walk with a sarnie & pack of crisps. First picnic of the year. Back home, did some gardening & have just made a load of roasted veg for tomorrow & got everything ready for supper tonight. Am about to have a power nap!!

I have to keep doing stuff or I brood & get fed up so I push myself to keep busy.

I listened to the Tennis Podcast on my walk - they were talking about Gabriela Sabatini - it was her fiftieth birthday over the weekend - I still imagine her being 19!

They are also talking about the 2006 Rome final between Roger and Rafa - it sounded interesting - about 5 hours long and apparently there was beef between them! I’ll listen to it on my next walk.

I listened to that as well Fizzy. She was only 26 when she retired, so young by today's standards.

I saw her practising the first time I ever went to Wimbledon (95) but never actually saw her play in real life. I used to really like watching her though, except when she beat Steffi, which was quite a few times. I love the Tennis Podcast history episodes, they do them really well I think.
