I did not watch this week or the end of last week either but was wondering if the actress who played Chantelle wanted to leave or was she written out? She has a young child herself but it’s a big soap to choose to leave when historically soap actors rarely do better when they leave.
Was that her natural hair or a wig? I loved it!

Along I follow the actress on IG and she is so beautiful. It’s her hair, she’s really funny, her daughter is gorgeous and her and her partner split like in the last two months? I don’t think she chose to leave, I think it definitely was a script choice.

I also don’t think Whitney is ‘stronger’ than Chantelle, arguably she’s in a weaker position? Once Chantelle was back on the square, she had a loving family over the road. I know Whitney has Sonia and Mick but it’s not quite the same as Karen and Mitch is it! Whitney is exactly the kind of woman that predators sick out - she has a history of being abused and men like Gray sniff that out. I’m willing to bet that he’d spot her a mile away even if he didn’t know the ins and outs of her background thanks to the case. We’ve already seen how he manipulates her because he likes the adoration. He, like many similar men I’m sure, seems to have poor self esteem so needs the validation of a woman fawning over him, which Whitney does because he’s played the hero.

I wonder if this will be a Christmas storyline? He gets close to Whitney, she looks after him and the children but he doesn’t go for the slow boil like he would have done with Chantelle, he’ll go off almost straight away - he doesn’t deal with stress well does he? And Whitney won’t be as emotionally involved because of the shorter time frame, so either she’ll speak out or maybe join up with Kheerat to expose him?

Whitney a big flashing neon target for abusers, particularly one who knows her history and is in a position of trust like Gray. He could manipulate her extremely easily. Tbh he already has been, as well as everyone else in the square.

Didn't Chantelle contact a refugee at some point? She was going to flee there. Would that not raise the alarm, especially if it was from the same phone she used to contact Kheerat and has suddenly disappeared.

I don't think I could bear yet another Whitney-the-victim storyline. I like her. It would be nice to see her happy for a change!

Yes she did, and she confirmed she was definitely still coming. I Wonder if refuges are able to ask for a welfare check from the police for women who don’t turn up? I guess that happens a lot though with women who change their mind or just cant get away at that time. Bit risky sending the police round as it would alert the abuser that something was going on. I hope she used her real name and maybe the refuge might see her name in the news or something?

Did Kheerat know she had contacted the refuge?

Anyone have any idea what is poking out of Kheerat's turban behind his right ear? Its always in shot. I assumed it was a Bluetooth headset but then he would have known his phone was ringing in the cafe.
Yesterdays episode was just horrific to watch. Poor Chantelle. I agree with a previous poster, there will be done outstanding acting from Lorraine Stanley coming up.

Can you imagine the guilt you’d feel as her parents? obviously it’s not their fault, but I can’t imagine how they’d feel.

I’m guessing once Sharon got the Queen Vic, she thought Albert was fitting for her son. I don’t think it’s a nice name at all tbh but it’s the type of thing Sharon would do so there is a link.
