Starts tonight. Looks good

When two sides of Glasgow collide when a teenage girl makes a pack with a wealthy couple

Dan and Emily live in a stunning house by the edge of a lake and have everything they ever dreamed of

Apart from a child

Years of struggling and many failed ivf

Kaya has no money or job but offers to be their surrogate

It’s quickly becomes apparent that the baby pact has a destructive effect .......

Never thought I’d end up feeling so sorry for Dan!!

I don't feel remotely sorry for him. He's vile.

Emily is pretty grotesque too, mind you.

EarringsandLipstick · 12/04/2020 22:18

So glad I can watch it tomorrow, couldn't have waited a week!

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/04/2020 22:18

Last one tomorrow

Not sure why kaya mum Moaning myrtle is so desperate to have KAY have the baby

Hopefully all be sorted tomorow

And dan and EMILY will have their baby

And sue the clinic big time

Plus when EMILY did the £20k did her bank balance say 1 million something or 100 thousand

I read the bank balance as being over a million. Which is a ridiculous amount of money to have sitting there not doing anything.
I have no idea why Kayas mum persuaded her to have the baby.
It did look Like that should be the ending. But I suppose we will find out what actually happened re the murder and who will get the baby in the end.
Good luck with suing some Ukrainian clinic. It sounded like they has sent the correct embryo but the wrong one had been implanted. I wonder how often this might happen?

lazymum99 · 12/04/2020 22:39

I missed the decimal point on the bank balance.

Doyoumind · 12/04/2020 22:42

Yes, no way was that baby anything like a 24/25 weeker. I know they couldn't have had a real baby quite that small but a baby born so early would be a lot more fragile and wouldn't be in and out of the incubator so easily and often.

Birdy65 · 12/04/2020 23:01

I think Dan could be the Father. He appears very attached to the baby. Perhaps he requested that donor eggs be used if it was failing with Emily’s, and of course would never expect that a DNA test would ever be needed.

horsemadgal · 12/04/2020 23:18

I feel like I need to rewatch it.
Was there a bit that Kaya was saying she wasn't Heather?
And I thought both Emily and Dan's DNA was both tested, but maybe I just assumed that.

mogloveseggs · 12/04/2020 23:24

Properly gripped!
The mother definitely has something to do with the murder

namechangenumber2 · 12/04/2020 23:36

Best drama I've seen in a long time!!

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/04/2020 23:38

I don't think Dan is the father, the DNA test showed no relationship to him, Emily or Kaya.

BakedCam · 12/04/2020 23:56

Well, that was a bit all over the place.

Out of them all, I feel for Kaya.

Shirley Henderson has the weight of the world in her shoulders.

Bent social worker...... well I never

Medievalist · 13/04/2020 01:21

I think the mum sees an opportunity to make money by preventing Kaya from handing over the baby. Makes for a better story for the tabloids. Or a chance to extort more money out of Dan and Emily.

Also agree she was probably involved in the murder Kaya was found guilty of in some way.

Ifeel1000yearsold · 13/04/2020 09:09

I think Emily is lying and has somehow forged the DNA results. I think the baby is Kayas

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/04/2020 09:18

Can’t see how they can forge blood tests

They obv have money so why they didn’t go the professional
Surrogate route

Or do more ivf and get more embroyo to freeze

They said she couldn’t carry. Not that she can’t Produce eggs

Not sure how this will end

Will the clinic find their embroyo

Will they check to see who else was implanted that day

Will Kaya give baby up

Will they adopt baby

And said before the size of baby was not 25w. No way would they be allowed to hold at that age and esp not suited and booted with hats gloves gowns to prevent infection

The researcher really fucked up with ivf positions and baby info

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/04/2020 10:02

"Professional" surrogacy is illegal in the U.K. @Blondeshavemorefun, hence the trip to Ukraine.

Figgygal · 13/04/2020 10:18

Aw very disappointed in the social worker twist he seemed a good guy kaya’s lost another positive influence and she will no doubt go off the rails

Shirley Henderson definitely a wrong un

Looking forward to tonight

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 13/04/2020 10:20

the social worker had to leave the picture to force Kaya to turn to her mother so I think that was quite clever

supercee · 13/04/2020 10:22

So many things going on.

The Emily and her pal dying was pretty pointless I thought.

I guess we'll find out tonight about the murder and how her mum fits into this. I'm on the fence about Shirley Henderson's acting abilities but her voice reeeaaallly grates.

The social worker's kid and the references to the absent mum didn't go anywhere. Or was that to show that he's a struggling single dad so sold the info for money?

faithinallisee · 13/04/2020 10:36

At the end of the third episode the doctor told Dan that they couldn’t go in to see the baby unless the birth mum had given signed permission. The doctor made a big deal about letting them in for ten seconds.

So with the amount of times that Dan was in seeing the baby at the beginning of the fourth episode I had assumed that the baby had been officially signed over.

So that was confusing.

What was the relevance of Emily’s friend dying?

How did the journalist recognise Kaya in the first place? She was a minor.

faithinallisee · 13/04/2020 10:38

I still think the only way this makes sense is if Kaya is an identical twin and it’s her twin who committed the murder.

Rayagoldensun · 13/04/2020 10:45

I’m waiting for Kayas Mum or Emily to be up to their necks in something. What has her mum done to provoke such extreme reactions from Kaya. So sad that she is the only person left in her life to turn to now the social worker has proved to be a wrong un. There’s way too much going on though. Surely that amount of subplots isn’t necessary. Emily giving her friend the ecstasy tablet and Dan’s BIL feeling so resentful about the help with the mortgage seem surplus to requirements so far.

namechangenumber2 · 13/04/2020 10:47

I'm hoping for a really good twist!
