Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4 and hoping it might not be long now. In the meantime, we are reviewing the seven series of Soldier Soldier.

Oh dear, he's staring at them in a threatening manner and HE'S GOT A GUN....AND HE SOUNDS VERY NERVOUS....not a good combination.

Ah so he's not a friend of Dave's at all.

The doorbell rings. It will be Rory and Jeremy to do the home visit no doubt.

Someone else is at the door and Donna has to answer...it's Rory and Jeremy.

Donna is very nervous.

Rory has twigged that something is really wrong....Donna wouldn't be going to the officer's mess.

Marsha has fairly been through the mill with a pregnancy that went wrong and she ended up in hospital and now is being held at gunpoint. Is the mad Irishman about to spill the beans as to why he's here?

James..er...whoever is very upset and a bit unhinged.

Rory slips around the back and hears glass breaking. Now he is keeping out of sight.

Something happened in Northern Ireland - it sounds as if James's girlfriend met with an accident of some kind.

No mobile phones to dial 999 back then.

He is somehow going to blame Dave for murdering his wife.

Seems as if Dave was in the wrong place and James is blaming him for what happened to Breda.

Now Dave is on his way home.

Oh Rory, you can shin up my drainpipe whenever you like! I think Elvis did it better however.

Oh yes, what is it about military men, shinning up drainpipes? CJ missed a trick there!

Brian is totally mad.

The police surround the house and Jeremy drags Dave out of harm's way.

Donna is still with us and terrified. Not sure this is going to endear Dave to her in the long run.

Well, who else could we expect to be heroic?

I think that plain clothes policeman was also a policeman in The Bill.

Paddy and Nancy arrive at the scene.

I hope the Tucker's haven't got creaky stairs. Rory would never be able to get down mine without the whole house hearing him.

Don't recognise the policeman...I used the really like The Bill in its heyday.

This story goes right back to before series 1 commenced. Gosh that seems a long time ago now - remember dishy Nick and the girlfriend with big hair?

Come on Rory...time to save the day and burst in there. Poor Donna!

Oh yes, we have come along way since Nick and whatever her name was.

Paddy remembers the name Casey and it all comes flooding back.

The ironic thing about this is that any one of those soldiers could probably shoot the madman in the house. Elvis could have done it with his big watch and his eyes shut. I am sure the delightful Rory could have done it if he had a rifle to hand.

So, all this has made Nancy think about her life with Paddy and now she's decided she wants to have a baby and a family with Paddy and to put her career on hold. He is overjoyed.
