Michael has run into an old "friend" in the mess and seeing as he's obviously so in tune with his wife, this doesn't bode well.

The colonel is getting boxing advice from Dr Sadie.

She is so not how I imagine a female officer to be. She also has a very strange mouth.

Dr Sadie seems to be a boxing expert too.

Now Michael is confessing all to his "friend" Meera/Sangita

Sounds as if this other woman was out in Bosnia which is where she would have met Michael. You can tell she has an agenda here!

Sgt Connor seems to be under a lot of stress - sorry adverts are now on.

All this pressure from Michael to join the other officers' wives is only to further his own career. He really doesn't care about her wellbeing at all today.

"I got held up" is Michael speak for "I was being chatted up by another woman".

Sgt Connor finally confesses that he has had a letter from an ex-girlfriend who has told him she is HIV. He of course is now convinced he has been infected.

Sgt Connor is at the doctors and he's very stressed. Yes, I can see why.

Start of part 2: the TAs arrive. You can spot the cocky one straight off.

Dr Sadie is being very understanding. Meanwhile the territorials arrive. As usual there is a bet on.

Back in the office at the base, Joy and Major Jim are indulging in some minor flirtation.

The Welsh TA is trouble, no doubt about it.

Joy is settling well into her job and Jim's daughter's turn up. He's obviously been talking about her.

Is that welsh soldier really Gareth Malone?

Surely not Rhu? I have quite a soft spot for Gareth Malone.

Ah yes, Sadie would definitely be the sort to play chess. Bet she was head girl at school too.

Oooh, is there some connection here between Colonel and doctor?

Is it really chess the colonel is interested or surreptitiously looking up Sadie's rather short tight skirt?
