I have been watching this cheesy, schmaltzy nonsense on Netflix

Nurse moves to the sticks to escape her past

Encounters good looking over helpful barman and busybody locals

Just teetering on the edge of being utterly dreadful

A bit like a soap. Lighthearted froth.

Recommended.

He was only with Charmaine for 2 years I’m sure.

I’m also pretty sure he was only with Charmaine for 2 years.
I think there will be a paternity test and they’re not Jack’s babies .... my money is on Brady being a drunken one night stand at that mingle thing when Charmaine was upset after Joey and Mel left.

I loved the first series of this but have found the second series drags a bit. All this “we’ll just be friends” thing between Mel and Jack is exhausting and the Hope character - which was great and well drawn in series 1 has now become a joke. A real shame. Am sticking with it to see the last 2 episodes but I hope series 3 is tighter - it’s beginning to get “same old same old”.

I was shocked when Mel was like "hey it's the first anniversary of my husband dying!!" So it wasn't long at all after he died that she arrived at Virgin River and had fallen for Jack.

Martin Henderson posted a pic on instagram, I thought it was him and his daughter. Turns out it's his girlfriend, half his age, looks even younger than she is.

You can’t help who you fall for though @bonfireheart. I’m pretty sure his last girlfriend was older than him and in her 50s. Crikey, I don’t blame his girlfriend - I wouldn’t say no

I've found my thread! I loved Virgin River and was gutted it was only 2 seasons. I don't need reality, just gorgeous scenery and hot men it turns out! I'm 4 seasons into Heartland, really irritating characters and silly situations but I'm hooked. I loved 800 words too, I'm so sad they cancelled it.
