@lunde - i tell myself, as they do on the show often, it's nerves!!!!

WTCT · 13/11/2019 16:38

I ate recently at Morston Hall, where one of them was from.

Thankfully, it was obviously his night off 😂

SchadenfreudePersonified · 13/11/2019 17:32

3 raw quails, 2 raw donuts and the final contestant, having actually managed to cook something, added about 1lb of sugar.

Masterchef version of the 12 Days of Christmas?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 13/11/2019 17:39

I suspect a few ‘professionals’ have worked their way up in ‘gastro pubs’ making steak and chips in a flat cap, and apple pie, throwing on a bit of popping candy to ‘give it a twist’. So not exactly classically trained chefs and more like competent cooks.

I feel quite sorry for some of them when they get that look of panic ‘ohhhh I’ve never made a sponge cake before...’

That was very entertaining. DD is about to do a food tech and prep GCSE (or whatever it is called) and I am going to make her watch that episode to show her how (relatively) brilliant she is.

billysboy · 13/11/2019 18:00

The young lady from last week Olivia was awesome

Spot on with the gastro pub gang !

SchadenfreudePersonified · 13/11/2019 19:58

Hello all.

Am about to turn onto the BBC for this evening's delectation.

Have been watching "Billions" as an aperitif. (David Costabile gives me the FGs)

My favourite bit is where they show their ages.... I think they are 47 and it says they are 24. I always think fuck me.... Working in a kitchen is the most aging thing!

fourquenelles · 13/11/2019 20:03

What value add did Gregggggggggggg have in that intro bit? M and M could do this bit

ShirleyPhallus · 13/11/2019 20:04

What fresh hell do we have in store tonight?

The arrival of Monobrow Man apparently

Halsall · 13/11/2019 20:04

Potter 🤮🤮

Lunde · 13/11/2019 20:04

Razor clams! This is going to be fun!

Flouncysinatra · 13/11/2019 20:04

@GrouchyKiwi does it wag though!

buttonup26 · 13/11/2019 20:05

A lot of them won't have a clue

Pajamagirl · 13/11/2019 20:05

Not a cat in hells chance of them getting this right

ShirleyPhallus · 13/11/2019 20:05

The urge to make a smutty joke involving Gregg and sampling razor clams is strong. But I’m not going to. How much of an adult am I!
