Professional Masterchef 2019: Chefs who can cook things properly are rare.

Will anyone manage to cook anything all the way through?

I do think it’s a pretty macho environment- I’m disappointed but not surprised there aren’t many women.

I do wonder how many of the women apply and how many are scouted. The One who gave us ashtray ice cream had only been a chef two years and had no formal training.

But the women who have done well in past series I do remember like Ellie and woman with complicated tidy hair.

I'm another who can't stand Parker Bowles. It'll turn my stomach watching him eat and pontificate.

It was easy to call last night. My DH thought they would put through an extra one or two since they were a great group. It was harsh.

My choice would have been Nigella's "girdle buster pie" - a biscuit and chocolate base, coffee ice cream all covered with butterscotch sauce
