Funnily enough, Jane I've noticed anumber of articles lately that have taken great painz to let us know how wonderful Dick is with kids, and how popular he is.

PR overdrive. Personally, if I had a tennis playing child, he is the last one I would want them around. Great role model that he is.

I just wonder what it's going to take for the ATP to fall out with the idiot and realise, that no, the majority of viewers are not entertained.

I just watched it back. It's awful and sort of a bit scary as in worrying, how he's behaving.

But it's so annoying how the commentators are giggling over a grown man walking off court and smashing racquets right in front of a couple of officials. Sorry why is that funny?

Kyrgios was sitting in his chair yelling about Fergus being the worst official in the game or something, and in the meantime the professionals around him are just trying to carry on. Kyrgios is going on about how Rafa always gets away with taking too long between points yet he hadn't even had a code violation at that point. I can't understand why he was trying to make an issue of that

And anyway, what would most players prefer, Rafa's service routine or Nick's antics??

That's the thing, private how many matches have we sat through, where the commentators have been going on endlessly about the shot clock and Rafa's serve.
I'm not sure why that annoys them more than a brat who is foul mouthed and disrespectful to pretty much everyone.

I do think he has problems. It's not like Mac, who behaved the way he did over passion for the game and he genuine frustration. I don't think Dick gives a toss about the game, really. He should partner up with Tomic and disappear.

Raahh I know - it's so annoying. I'm resolving not to spend any more time talking about him!!

I agree that we shouldn’t spend any more time talking about him - how far are the ATP going to let him go? Umpires should be able to do their job without being harassed and insulted at every changeover.

I do think he probably has got some sort of issue but don’t think it should be used as an excuse for his appalling behaviour. The commentators should also take some responsibility for saying that his antics are entertaining - they’re not!

I think it’s so annoying that he gets all the attention and his opponent barely gets a mention.

Anyway I’ll stop ranting now and concentrate on the players who win matches, have some respect for their fellow players, the sport and the fans.

Do you think any tennis players will be invited? I (nosily) want to see some pictures because they are going to look amazing... but nice official ones that they decided to release to their adoring fans, not papped ones

Oh, Maria is stunning, I can imagine she will look amazing at her wedding. And very classy. And Rafa does not scrub up too badly either.

( I've never really got over how Kim managed wear a dress that made her look like a frumpy milkmaid to her wedding to Andy. She is usually so well dressed (sweary t-shirts aside). )

I checked the schedule (as you do) and unless Rafa will be delaying his honeymoon, he might miss Paris (and Basel, but he doesn't play there anyway, as a rule). But it's not one of his best tournaments,Paris, he has skipped it a few times, so it won't be in issue really.

Of course, they might delay a holiday until the season ends.

Ooh 19 October for the wedding - I’m not sure if any other tennis players will be invited - roger and Rafa seem to be mates now they’re on the players committee together.

The engagement pictures were in Hello (from Hola I think ) I saw them at the hairdressers - honestly! Might need to book an appointment for the end of October to see wedding photos. I’m sure that Xisca will look beautiful (and Rafa will look quite handsome too )

I went to a wedding , on the 19th of October, 23 years ago.

Rublev with his matching hair and shorts has won against Roger 6-3 6-4 - he looked quite dazed and emotional after that win. This probably means that Djok will win the tournament. I’ve happily not seen him play yet.

I saw some of Barty/Kontaveit today. I'd forgotten they have on court coaching which I don't like. Kontaveit was being very sulky with her coach whose voice sounds very like AC.
